I WAS THERE ONCE AGAIN ON JANUARY 13TH AND SPENT OVER 90.00 GETTING A CATERING MEAL FOR 10 OF CHICKEN AND DUMPLING WITH EXTRA DUMPLINGS AND GREEN BEANS WITH BISCUITS, ONCE AGAIN THE MESSED UP MY ORDER, HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU HAVE TO COMPLAIN UNTIL SOMEONE LISTENS TO YOU. THEY DONT PUT ENOUGH SARAN WRAP AROUND THE DISHES AND THE WHOLE BOTTOM OF MY BAG WAS FILLED WITH ALL THE JUICE OUT OF THE CONTAINERS. IT RUINED ALOT OF STUFF, NOT TO MENTION THE PLASTIC THING THEY GAVE ME FOR THE CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS COULD NEVER SERVE 10 PEOPLE, I COULDNT BELIEVE IT WHEN I GOT HOME, AT LEAST THAT USUALLY COMES IN AN ALUMINUM FOIL CONTAINER AND IS PRETTY LARGE. I ATE ONE BOWL OUT OF THAT CONTAINER THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO SERVE 10 PEOPLE AND HALF THE CONTAINER WAS EMPTY. I WOULD BE MORE THAN WILLING TO BRING THAT PLASTIC CONTAINER BACK AND THE BAGS FILLED WITH THE JUICE TO SHOW THEM. I SAVED THEM JUST SO I COULD SHOW THEM HOW I GOT IT. WHY WONT ANYONE LISTEN. I SPEND ALOT GETTING THESE 10 PERSON CATERING MEALS AND THEN ITS DISASTER WHEN I GET HOME. IVE GOTTEN THESE CATERING MEALS NUMEROUS TIMES AND THEYVE ONLY DID IT RIGHT ONCE OUT OF 8 TIMES. I LOVE THE FOOD BUT THEY CANT PREPARE TAKE OUT WITHOUT MAKING IT A DISASTER. THEY ONLY PUT SARAN WRAP ON THE TOP INSTEAD OF ALL AROUND THE CONTAINERS AND ALL THE JUICES LEAKED OUT ALL OVER THE BAG. THE LAST TIME I COMPLAINED THEY SENT ME A LINK ASKING HOW THEY COULD MAKE IT BETTER, THEN NOBODY EVER GOT BACK TO ME. I've complained but it keeps happening so I guess complaining doesn't help. I do love the food and the atmosphere but I don't want to worry about my order each time I go. That's alot of money to spend for takeout so it should be right. I have also eaten in numerous times. First place I went as soon as I got out of the hospital after a procedure. Hadn't eaten in 36 hours and they said what do you want to eat and they knew before I answered, they said Cracker Barrel and I said, you know it. CRACKER BARREL SENT ME A LINK TO ASK ME HOW TO MAKE IT BETTER, THEN I TILD THEM HOW. THEN THEY COMPLETELY IGNORED ME AND DIDNT EVEN HAVE THE COURTERSY TO GET BACK TO ME. ITS TRULY VERY SAD THAT THEY GIVE YOU A LINK TO GET A HOLD OF THEM THEN WHEN YOU DO AND RESPOND TO THE LINK, THEN THEY COMPLETELY BLOW YOU OFF AND IGNORE YOU. Read moreOrdered Saturday night for a puck up time of 7:56pm after getting to the store and waiting until 8:30pm I was told my order was just received. I asked for it to be canceled which it us. Maybe there was a misconduct between placing the order online and when it was received. No biggie, attempted to place another order Sunday. Pick up time was around 7:30. Being 8 months pregnant obviously 2 meals looked good to me so I ordered 2 for myself plus the rest of the family's food. Once I had arrived to the restaurant I waited in line at the pick up area. Was never addressed so I stood over by the 2 people waiting on doordash orders. The woman working the register was not working the take out, okay I get it's not your job but you could have asked the name. After waiting an additional 20 minutes for someone to ask me the name of my order. I was told it would be a little longer they were working on 3 other take out orders. Okay... my meals were chicken tenders and fries, fried catfish with 3 sides, fried shrimp, and the fried chicken. After a few morning minutes someone radioed the woman working the register to let her know they ran out of fried chicken about 6:30pm. It's well after 8 o'clock at this point and would I like something else. No I did not want to stand there any longer waiting on a meal to be ready when the rest was done and sitting under the heat lamp. Was refunded the chicken only because I did accept the sides. The "chicken tender" that were the same size as the fried shrimp was suppose to has 2 sides of fries, there was about 12 in there. The catfish was cold and soggy. Both orders of mashed potatoes (one loaded and the other with brown gravy) were so hard I couldn't stab the fork into one and the other was stuck together like paste. The biscuits were cold , eggs were cold.. even the cheese I ordered on the eggs was not melted or warm
I can find better quality food at your nastiest McDonald's locations and considering cracker barrel is a family sit down restaurant i expect better than McDonald's quality. When I mentioned to our waitress this morning " Leslie " our food was half cold and tasted awful she replied with an " oh well" attitude and basically told us thats just how it is here.
I had to ask 3 separate times to speak with the manager on duty because im tired of paying these prices for food thats wrong , cold or just plain tasting awful. Even the manager failed to provide any solution for quality or service failures.
Again I can find better quality anywhere else and growing up going to cracker barrel for breakfast as always been my favorite memory of mine .
Im disappointed in the company itself , the customer service, the management AND the quality of food served here. This is not the first time iv had this awful experience and I hate to say I may never take my friends or family here again for a good meal because a good meal can no longer be found at this establishment.
In the last year iv visited cracker barrel 3 separate times and each time I left feeling hungry, even more disappointed in service and robbed of my hard earned money. I don't ask for free hand outs or discounts but I plead with the company to just DO BETTER your loyal customers beg it of you.
