I stopped in for dinner at 9:20. I sat down at the bar and waited a few minutes before the bartender noticed me. I told her I needed no menu and proceeded to order my favorite meal at Texas Roadhouse. I ordered 2 Pork chops with Peppercorn Gravy and ask for lots of extra gravy because that's what I come there for. I told her up front I wanted lots of gravy. I order this meal 9 out of 10 times when I go there. They could keep the 2 sides and give me gravy and pork and that would be perfectly fine with me. I received the salad and had no silverware. I ask for silverware and she gave it to me. Halfway through my salad I took a bite and something stuck me in the mouth. It looked like a splinter of wood. I showed it to the bartender who agreed. She called the manager over. She showed it to him and he never said a word to me and walked away. I waited for my food. Just as I was turning around to ask for my check and leave my dinner arrived. It was 9:55. I had barely a 1/4 of a small plastic ketchup cup of Peppercorn Gravy that was thick and nasty looking. I showed the cup to the bartender who shook her head and ask someone else to bring me some more. Instead of letting her know they were out or making a little more they had scrapped the bottom to get me a little and tried to slip it through.Seeing I was a little disappointed she ask if I wanted something else. I politely said no. I mean I usually order what I want to begin with. While I was eating what little bit of gravy I had with a few bites of pork chop Eric walked over and spoke with her again and left never having said a word to me.When I laid my credit card down on the bar to pay she said he had taken care of the bill. He hung his employee out to dry. I told her his lack of concern for my mouth and experience was unbelievable and she seemed to agree. I mentioned that to him on my way out and he said well I took it off your bill.Really? Money fixes everything. Wow. What compassion and caring for your incustomer. So no Silverware, a splinter of wood poking me in the mouth, no bread, no gravy. No apology. I will ask the corporate office in the morning if Eric Schafroth received any training in customer service or was just given the title of Assistant Service Manager for lack of someone who really cares about...
Read moreI placed a curbside pickup order today and when I got home, the ribs in two meals I ordered that were steak and ribs were burned so much they couldn’t even choke them down. I took a picture to send to the manager in case they needed proof of this but as I’ll mention in a minute, no one cared enough to answer the phones. Both steaks were very well done and chewy. The sides were fine. My order was a ribeye which was fine. I tried calling to complain because this was a pretty expensive order and could not even get a live person to get on the phone, just kept going back to the line options. For a new restaurant in this area, I don’t think it’s a good way to start out. We won’t go back and will tell everyone we know about the quality of food they pack up and send out. I’m very unhappy over this because I also gave a tip and most of the food was barely edible. I was really hoping this restaurant would have been better.
Update 8/14/21 We tried one more time (but dined in this time) from someone telling us it was better now. I am not changing my rating. The food was just a little better than before. We reserved online and didn’t have to wait long. We ordered drinks and placed the food order then waited for almost 40 minutes for the food. We noticed people that came in right after us were served and done and we were waiting. It was 4 people and one ordered a salad only. I couldn’t even find the server to ask about it. Finally she came by and said you don’t have the food yet? Really! You are the server and didn’t keep up with it? We said we are getting aggravated, what’s going on? She left and finally brought it back with an insincere sorry. I assume she knew her tip dramatically decreased. We were still missing two side items. For the price, which is high the quality of the food was low and service was bad. No more chances on this place from us! Cheddars is...
Read moreUpdate 07/03/2025: Hmm. We ordered our normal order to go so we could go over to charger and charge up the car. Somehow the order was ready 10min quicker than they estimated but it was to our dismay. My wife was shorted her side item and her stake wasn't even close to "well done" like we ordered. You be the judge, I'm adding a pic of her "well done" steak .
Update 12/29/2022: Wow, they were amazingly busy at 4pm on Thursday evening. 20-30min wait times. Might have something to do with thier $10 early bird dinner specials. Only drawback from today was the rude patrons that park in the handicap parking spots without placards or plates.
Texas Roadhouse is always so awesome, with great food at fair prices . Use the app or go to website to get placed on wait list. It will save time and frustration.
Kentucky has some strange and interesting rules for Covid19. Masks need to be worn unless you have some condition that allows you to be exempt from wearing one. With that said I could really care less about the masks 😷, but I found it interesting that everyone on the "front side" of the restaurant were wearing masks but when you looked at the "backline" (that you can clearly see from the waiting areas or just walking out after dinner) they seemed to be completely oblivious about their masks. We had to wait around 5 minutes in front of the bread and fresh cut 🍖 area and the main cook never put his mask on. So many others did the same. Please remember that I don't really care about masks but if someone came in and was worried about it they could really throw a fit. It's also a little misleading that the appearance of masks are so prominent on the floor but not on...
