Cru Wine & Tap — Restaurant in Florence

The Mrs. and I were shopping for outdoor dining tables which is hungry work so, we looked for somewhere to get a late lunch.

I remembered we had tried Cru Tap and Wine prior to them having a food menu,so we headed downtown to check it out again.

We were not disappointed. We ordered a merlot which wasn't in-stock, so Brian recommended a good Washington state vintage. We like Washington wines. They seem to have more of an earthy flavor than CA wines, but we are not experts.

For lunch we ordered the B&C pizza. . It consisted of beef, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, cheese and balsamic glaze. Very good!

Bryan is very laid back, easy to talk to, and tells it like it is. Which is rare nowadays. A nice, casual environment makes even the least knowledgeable about wine feel welcome and comfortable. Much better experience than the uppity wine bars that you'd expect. I stopped in for a couple while in town for work and if I make it back out to the Florence area in the future, I will give him another visit. Customer service was horrible. We sat down for a while before we was serviced. The bartender was very rude and seem to not want to service us.
