El Agave Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Florence

We were tired and had been driving for hours. Found El Agave online and decided to give it a shot. The little downtown where it is located was cute and relaxed so we made our way in. Bright and lively, I get better instantly. My boyfriend was still not convinced, but our waiter was friendly and then the chips came, warm with delicious salsa. So we ordered guacamole- a mountain of avocado with onion, cilantro, tomato- a feast in itself really. A jalapeño margarita and a Paloma, my boyfriend started to relax. I had a Santa Fe salad- seasoned shrimp and chicken, fresh greens, just what I needed. Boyfriend has possibly the best burrito ever- it was their specialty burrito, chicken, onions and mushrooms- piping hot and really off the chart. First try for a burrito I don't think I'll be going back not to say the burrito was bad but it just didn't seem like a burrito asked for salsa verde I don't know what was on it but it didn't look like salsa Verde at least it wasn't the rojo but once again no cells of Verde for the chips only a cup of rojo and on the cashier whips out the tip screen are you freaking kidding me I just gave you 20 bucks to support your business and keep it going and now you want me to dig in my pocket and throw you some spare change maybe you could sit on the corner with that little pad and see how many tips you get Ludacris beware if you come in through the back it's dark and there are two steps to go down that have no lighting and are virtually invisible when coming in from the sunlight outside it's basically dark in there DHEC should be doing something about lighting...

Went into El Agave because its convenient to my job and wanted a small order of chicken tenders which order them the day before. The waiter said for adult it will be more ok but for him to holler and say you want it or not is the rudest thing any person serving someone food can do. Then when asked for the manager he was on break lied because he heard the whole conversation. If a manager can't handle when a customer has a problem with a rude waiter then there is no need to be in business. Also my advice I understand your language is Spanish be careful how you speak because you don't know who can speak your language and understand. Customer service is what makes a customers spend their money. I can't control how you carry your business but I can CONTROL HOW AND WHERE MY MONEY IS SPENT.
