Updated review (see bottom of review for update)
This is sad and I hate to give a two star rating because actually Krystal hamburgers or better than their competition at White Castle which is the closest thing to a Krystal. Krystal's french fries have not changed over the years that they've been in business and that's not a bad thing.
As long as you get them hot and fresh they can't be beat but because of the customer service, the totally odd hours and unpredictable hours at that, that they are open and the extremely slow service which is unexcusable I've given them a two-star rating.
Krystal could be so much better and hopefully the new owners will correct many of the things that are a problem but in my opinion Krystal hand down beats White castles sliders and when you're in the mood for a Krystal nothing else will do.
I edited this review after reading comments from the owner and I will forward my reviews to those locations, thank you for your quick reply
I will update my review to add that I was glad to see the "owner's"interest in seeing the comments answered and the instruction to notify corporate about problems but very unfortunate that it ends there. I went to the Krystal company website and tried several ways to contact them and ALL went unanswered.
I don't have high expectations that problems will get addressed when even corporate fails to acknowledge a complaint. Thanks to the owner for your response but corporate needs to be as responsive as you.
REPLY CAME: It is May 30th, 2021 and I did finally receive a letter from Krystal company which does not make me feel any better about the situation with Krystal Restaurant, as a company, because two glaring things were missing. On the front of the envelope there was no return address and worse on the letter itself there was no contact information, neither address, phone, or other contact information as if they don't care to have another reply. Compared to other food companies/restaurants that I've had problem with none of them ever replied with no way to reply or contact them. It is as if Krystal wishes to remain deaf to comments. I don't even know if the letter was in response to an email, website, or phone message contact. Since the above visit, that was reviewed, I made another attempt to dine at the Florence Blvd (Florence, Alabama) Krystal only after walking in to be told they were closed. It was 10:30AM in the morning and there was only two visible employees in the restaurant of which one of them left while I was in the parking lot. I was told the store was closed and might possibly reopen in one hour or so.
I know employees are hard to come by what with the Pandemic pay encouraging people to stay at home and making employees difficult to find but this only exacerbates prior difficulties I've had with Krystal restaurants to the point I will again say I fear for the continued operation fo...
Read moreThis has become the worst Krystals around. Pulled up to speaker to order. Asked the lady on the speaker if they still had the sack of krystals that comes with fries. Her answer was "I don't know". I set there for a minute and asked again thinking that's not what she said. I then asked again and she said "I don't know". I then simply asked "Can you ask someone" she came back and said yes we do. So I ordered a sack full of krystals with Cheese. After her first short "i don't know comments" I made sure to ask "and you got the cheese on them", she said yes. It came with 2 fries and 2 drinks. I told her what drinks we wanted. I pulled around and there were 2 cars still waiting to get their food. I waiting 30 minutes for them to get their food and pulled up after debating about driving away numerous times under the circumstances and service. The lady opened the window and I paid her like $35, something like that. She then walks away, "another 5 minutes" and hands me the bag of krystals out the window and says "have a good day". I looked at her and said I should have drinks. She then fixes the 2 drinks, one of which was maybe 3/4 the way full and I noticed while she was doing that that I didn't have the fries and the krystals didn't have cheese on them like I ordered. I decided not to say anything on the cheese since the wait would probably be forever yet again.So.... when she gave me the drinks, I told her I had 2 fries also. I then waited another 5-6 minutes on her to grab them. She gave them to me and I got outta there. Keep in mind it was super slow and maybe one customer inside the place dining in. "I SEE WHY". I noticed one other person there in the back kinda walking around. KRYSTALS DO BETTER or at least hire a new staff who can do the job. If not just close for God sakes. Terrible place, especially for the price and service! I'll never be back to that location unless its a different staff and being...
Read moreThey should just shut this place down. I mean really, if you are hungry and expect some sort of service or if you legitimately need something to eat "DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE". Let's start with the building. Obviously, corporate doesn't care about how this location represents their brand. The building looks like trap house. I though the place was condemned when we pulled up because the lights weren't on, the building paint is peeling off, the lot was dirty and it just looks like a derelict building. The only reason that I even tried to order was that I saw someone inside. So I pull around to the drive-thru and I am greeted with a proclamation that "I am the only one here, so I can't make any big orders". I asked what she called a "Big" order. She said that she can't make a 12 or 24 pack. It galls me when folks who are very obviously not able or wanting to do the work necessary to serve a customer try to inject some sort of logic to the fact that they just don't want to or can't do the work. So, I asked her what is the difference between me ordering 11 sliders multiple times. Silence. I wasn't going to order anything at that point, but I just wanted to know how that fit into the logic. So I thanked her for playing along and I left. Here is the moral of the story. If you aren't going to provide the service that is implied to be available at your business, then just close. If you are not staffed to cover your proclaimed hours of operation, change the time to the times where you can provide service. If you can't do that much, then you should close the location. That will be better than taking big pisses on customers that want what you're supposed to have. I won't be going back to this location because the whole transaction was just too shady for me to ever trust that people there don't mess with your food. It was just that bad.
NEVER...Grubhub with this restaurant.. You...
