A Friend of mine brought me a Burrito from there several months ago. It was pretty good. NOW...I have to say, yesterday a friend of mine came to town and took me to Lunch neither of us having been there before. I've been in the Food Industry since 1980, and I have to say, it was the WORST Mexican Food I've EVER had, not to mention the WORST presentation! We went in to sit down, not order to go. Had I of known that my food was going to arrive at my table in a tin foil container with plastic silverware, we would not have gone in to begin with. Why do you have sit down booths if you are going to treat your In House Customers like they are to go orders? They should be treated as if they are there to sit, relax, visit and enjoy a GOOD MEAL. When my food was placed infront of me, my eyes got as BIG as Oreo Cookies not from amazement like I would if eating at Ixtapia or the other Mexican Restaurants here in town, but from shock, disappointment and embarrassment! The quantity of food was very small and there was absolutely no flavor whatsoever in my Chimichanga. The flour tortilla was barely fried and barely warm. Worst Chimichanga I've ever had! For the price that was spent on our 2 meals, I would rather have eaten at Burger King or etc. I Manage a Motel and the majority of my Guests ask me where is a good place to eat? Some of them wanting Mexican Food. I will not send them there. My Boss says your food used to be good. I don't know what happened, but you will not be getting any Business from me or my Guests. I never leave bad reviews, but this one I felt was needed to warn others of the type of Business you run so others won't be disappointed if walking in for the 1st time and expecting a good sit down...
Read moreOrdered a steak fajita burrito from the cashier, as I didn't see one listed and that's the only thing my dad would eat.
The burrito was $16.45, came with mushrooms in it, and was served as a wet burrito. Since it was so outrageously expensive I figured I'd just split it with my dad.
He did not want it as a wet burrito, and he did not want mushrooms. The sign for fajita burrito I found on the chalkboard menu after I ordered didn't mention these things, and the cashier did not either.
As the order took 20 minutes to make, even though I was the only one in the building, I didn't have time to wait around for them to remake it.
The steak was chewy, there were mushrooms, there's no cheese in it and it's just.. dissapointing. Spicy but somehow underseasoned. It doesn't taste anything like a normal fajita burrito, and while HUGE, there isn't a world that exists where this is a $16.50 burrito.
Also, if you're going to serve a burrito wet ADVERTISE IT AS A...
Read moreWe stopped by Los Amigos Burrito for lunch on our way through Newport, hungry and not knowing what to expect. The guy at the counter was friendly and helpful in explaining various menu items, and the menu itself was well stocked with options for all diets. With Covid still in swing, the interior of the restaurant was chiefly used as a waiting area but seating options outside worked nicely. The outdoor area was in the shade but still warm, and our food came out in good time. Parking was also easy, and there was a steady flow of customers moving in and out of the restaurant. The bathroom was clean and well lit (not always the case). We were happy with how much food we received for the price, and the salsas that came with the food were very tasty. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone passing through town, it’s just...
