This distillery shares a space with a barber shop right in the heart of downtown Florence. They offer a flight of tastings of an ounce and a half of a large variety of infused rum for $5 per person. The lady was very passionate, knowledgeable & informative about their product. They begin with the rum base and infuse with only the purest fruits, flowers, spices, etc that they either grow or purchase from someone who can grow it. Lady informed me their coconut rum won best in the world. The coconut rum was our favorite. The coconut flavor is a very powerful coconut flavor. Bottle cost us $41.50. Some of the flavors of rums you wouldn’t get anywhere else. Some flavors they have are walnut and fig (great flavor), fejoa (The Feijoa is an unusual and relatively unknown fruit in the Northwest, has a pear, kiwi, wintergreen flavor), Meyer lemon (one of my favorites), mocha (would be great with coffee of course), cinnamon, tropical ginger, hibiscus, pineapple, spiced rum, cranberry and many more. My mother in law had a hard time with the strong alcohol tastes but when the server added simple syrup and splash of soda to it she was able to handle it better. We had a fun little time doing something a...

I wanted to leave while the experience was still fun, and I had to ask several times for my bill. I was about to leave without the rum I wanted to purchase, but he finally gave me the bill and I paid. Before the crazy started, it was a fun experience and the rum is...
Read moreJust idle curiosity led us into this place after a lunch in Florence. A red-haired pirate maiden recommended we sample the wares. Arrrh matey, why not? Tried many kinds of booze in my years, and pretty much settled on what I prefer. Knew I didn't much like rum, but no harm in a little talk and sip.
Danger, wallet hazard! Lotsa good stuff here. The rums are very different and all great in their own way, hard to choose a favorite. We each bought two kinds of their fine rums. And, I will be...
