Wooden Nickel — Restaurant in South Carolina

My girlfriend and I had been driving around town looking for somewhere we could unwind and shed the stale taste of our work week. After trying our luck at some well-known establishments like Buffalo Wild Wings, we decided to try our hand here as we were in desperate need of good drinks and real people. The Wooden Nickel did not disappoint! We found some of the most colorful, friendly, and inviting people in this rock'n country bar. I am a man of above average stature and usually receive questionable looks when I enter a room. However, upon stepping through the door, I was greeted with true hospitality. No one seemed to be a stranger under the roof of the Wooden Nickel. The incredible friendly hospitality spread beyond every corner. The atmosphere is everything you'd want in a bar or nightlife environment. We met some of the most amazing people one could wish to come in contact with, and the drinks were outstanding 👌. I came out last night, Saturday looking forward to doing karaoke after being at home all summer. Well there is no more Saturday night karaoke :( @ the Wooden Nickel, only Fridays I guess so will try again soon on a Friday. I did end up meeting some really nice people one of whom who told me where I could get my karaoke fix right down the road. The man also told me the food they had for the birthdays was free so that was nice, and he got up and got me a Virgin Margarita (I had to drive) that was super delicious. People have always been welcoming here at the Nickel.

Ps- I tried to call to confirm about karaoke before making the out of town drive from Scranton and the phone number doesn't work... I also asked on Facebook but maybe was too close to time to get a response so I just drove on up there anyhow. Still had a great night back out and look...

I ain't gonna lie y'all...this bar looks quite sketchy from the outside but me and a girl I was on a date with gave it a shot this past Friday night and...let's just say we ended up taking some shots! Lol..jk..the bartender Heidi made us some superb "liquid marijuana" drinks that I never heard of but the gal I was with suggested them and were very good and the philly cheese steak fries were the bomb! Lesson here is don't judge a..book..I mean..bar..by it's cover. Very clean, great hard working normal folks, patrons whatever you say. Great people, great staff, great food, no fights lol, and awesome karaoke with none other than "Smoke"..the well seasoned, very cool and polite karaoke host of this era. This bar is a hidden gem with some fantastic singers and we had an absolute blast and I (singular, ha) look forward to visiting again...
