I had one of the most unpleasant experiences at the Starbucks in Florence, SC. The store was absolutely disgusting from the moment I walked in.
Flies Everywhere: Flies were buzzing around both the lobby and behind the counter, making it feel unsanitary and unappetizing.
Smelly Water in the Lobby: Dirty, smelly water was literally pouring into the lobby from behind the line, creating a foul odor that hit you as soon as you entered.
Dirty Uniforms: Several baristas were wearing visibly dirty aprons, which didn’t inspire any confidence in the cleanliness of the drinks being made.
Bathrooms in Terrible Condition: The bathrooms were filthy and clearly neglected. They looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time.
Overwhelming Stench: The entire store had an overpowering stench that made it difficult to stay inside long enough to order.
Poor Management: All of this points to severe mismanagement. It’s clear there’s little oversight or pride being taken in maintaining even basic cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Overall, this location is in desperate need of attention from corporate. It doesn’t reflect the Starbucks brand at all, and I wouldn’t recommend anyone stop here until these issues are...
Read moreThis is my 3rd review of this place. I ONLY frequent it because it is down the street from my job. When i first started going there, service was ALWAYS SLOW. It's clear that management is lax because there is absolutely no "pep" in the emoloyees. They do selective greetings upon entering. I walked in and wasn't even acknowledged. I place my online order 10-15 minutes before arriving and STILL have to wait 10 minutes, which causes my daily routine to be off. Clearly, these reviews aren't being taken seriously because it has been 6 months since I've started going there, and the service is still sub-par. It's infuriating, and im big on customer service. The management needs to be changed if the culture has not changed in 6 months. Looking over all the reviews, there seems to be a common problem....they are extremely inefficient, and if the management is not seeing this or paying attention to the reviews, management needs to change.

Read moreUnfortunately the drinks here only come in two varieties: hot or cold. That is pretty frustrating for someone like me who does not believe in absolutes, but there's a way around it. Get two drinks--one hot and one cold, and then drink them as fast as you can right after one another. That way, the hotness of the first drink cancels out the coldness of the other, and you can achieve homeostasis. Alternatively, you can get one icedcoffee and then one hot coffee and mix them together, that way the temperature is just right. But there are also some really great other combinations that people don't know about! I like to mix my dark brew into my raspberry lemonade for a "oh-it-tastes-so-good" Summer kick. My daughter says I shouldn't do that, but I do it anyway.
So this is a pretty good Starbucks if you can get the temperatures right, but I've got it down...
