For some background, I've been a fan of 3 pepper and have visited regularly since the location off Daniel's opened and have always spoke highly of them and brought my friends. The food is great and I was extremely excited when this location opened up close to my job. I would go 2 to 3 times per week. I know 2 of their employees by name now and enjoyed each of my visits since they opened. Why 2 stars. On my last visit I brought a friend that has never tried them and I spoke highly of the restaurant. After we got our food during their happy hour and my friend didnt know about their promo. The promo allows for free guac or some other items. She was charged for guac which is fine but I decided to see if they would honor it and give her a cookierito which is amazing. I walked up and explain she was charged for guac and when I was about to continue to explain my request the manager completely shuts me down and cuts me off saying he wont give a refund for guac. Then before I could explain that I dont want a refund for 99 cents he continues to shut down anything I have to say explaining that he does not honor the promo if the customer doesn't mention it. So I just said ok and left. The funny thing is if he listened to me completely and said he still couldn't, I would be fine and have said i understand. I have worked in service for a long time and as manager to manager,(assuming manager becouse of the way he spoke to the other employees) if that was any employee of mine, we would have a very strong conversation. So now I walk away embarrassed after talking so highly about the food and staff. Will I go back for the food, maybe once in a while but will I ever recomend them to a friend or continuously bring friends here? Absolutely not. I'll go to the other locations on the rare occasion I'm in...
Read moreIt would behoove the owner to visit the Estero location around 4:30. Three employees standing in the back with their noses in their phones. A very surly young lady came out with a young man. She never smiled. When she made my quesadilla, she brushed off the pans with her gloved hand of all the stuck on reminants of previous orders. And then, she actually stuck her hand in the rice to grab a handful of rice instead of using the spoon sitting right there in the rice! The condiments area was soooo messy with corn and tomatoes all over and in containers with other items. Only one low table was clean…the rest were noticeably dirty. As soon as we were served, they retreated to the back again. And when we left, nobody said a word…oh, and we were the only patrons in the store. Food is good, service decent, but the employees could practice appreciation of...
Read moreI've been to this place 2 times, The first time was when they had originally opened not sure when that was but it's been a minute, so I went there today giving them a second chance because I remember my first time not being that great. It doesn't seem like much has changed, pricing isn't too bad compared to other places like Chipotle and Moe's, the food however is very bland and doesn't seem to have a lot of taste. I got the beef barbacoa which was supposed to be a limited time thing, and it didn't have much flavor, The mango habanero salsa also didn't have a lot of flavor. Overall it's pretty mid, I wouldn't go here again it's not the best not the worst. The only reason I went here is because Chipotle sucks so I figured I would try something new again. Also they encourage five-star reviews for a free dessert so most of their five-star reviews are...
