I thought I lost my phone, so I logged in my phone account and seen multiple calls to a number from Washington State, ( I do not know anybody from Washington State), so we accessed track my phone and it showed the phones location was IN the diner, not outside or around. So we went up there and asked and the front employee said she didn't know about a phone and immediately the other female employee came up and denied having one also, even after I told them the tracker lead me to there. Once I walked out I continued the search outside the building along with my wife and young child and almost ran into the 2nd female employee whom was sprinting outside to tell the group of people that were changing a tire, WHO THE ONE THAT WAS ACTUALLY HANDS ON THE TIRE AND OTHER AUTO PARTS WITH NO GLOVES WAS THE COOK, in which whatever she told the group they immediately started looking pointing and laughing talking in another language like they knew something, so I went to my car got my laptop and wife and her phone and when we went back in they magically produced my phone when we told them we are calling the police and showed them the tracking evidence. Then the cook came out to argue that he only found the phone, but was unable to explain the 30 plus phone calls to Washington. You make your own assumption but tracking devices and phone logs don't lie. Oh and I hope no ones food tasted...
Read moreWe stumbled upon this restaurant when I saw the sign 'Diner' while traveling down 19 in Holiday. Honestly my expectations weren't that high. Boy oh boy was I surprised!!
Everything we had was outstanding right down to the tomato on our salads. Which actually tasted like tomato!
My hubby had the beef barley soup and I had the lemon chicken soup. Both were homemade and absolutely excellent. We both regretted not getting bowls.
Salad was fresh and crisp and delicious with the aforementioned tomatoes. My ranch dressing was homemade and yummy.
For our entrees my husband had the open face roast beef. It was everything he was hoping for and reminded him of the beef sammies he had as a kid!
I chose the beef stroganoff. The portion was large, enough for my hearty appetite. The stroganoff was excellent with large pieces of beef with mushrooms and sour cream gravy. It was served with fresh green beans.
To complete the whole wonderful experience, we had a choice of rice pudding or ice cream. I had the rice pudding which was just like back home in Chicago.
Soup, salad, and dessert were included in the price of the meal.
Our server's name was Bill who was an experienced professional. He kept our drinks full and brought everything in a timely fashion.
An excellent little diner, all around. We will definitely be back!...
Read moreGreat budget-friendly Americana Style Diner. Our server Tina was Great friendly and attentive. I'm really surprised that we have not visited before as we have been back to New Port Richey several years now. My hubby ordered the meatloaf it was quite yummy he couldn't finish. It was a very large portion with mashed potatoes also came with a side salad and soup (because it was the daily special).Starters were chicken soup made from scratch then a small hoise salad with very nice tomatoes. I had the combination seafood platter only option is to have it fried. I was in the mood for broiled but I like a good fried seafood platter any day. It came with a nice piece of white fish shrimp clam strips and a crab cake. You could have fries or they substituted another side item. It also came with a side salad and cup of soup. The shrimp were very tasty the fish was flaky the crab cake was basic but very yummy and I'm no clamstrip connoisseur but they tasted good too. The cocktail sauce was totally on point made fresh daily and just enough horseradish doesn't burn your mouth but had a slight kick. We were full but happy to get a dessert which the waitress Tina brought to us in to-go cups. We had homemade rice pudding. It was really good lots of cinnamon creamy fresh made. We will...
