Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Florida

I had been going to this applebee's about 3 to 4 times a week for nearly a month, but I don't plan to go here or anything other applebee's for now on. The service socks! Some of the people working there have been there for too long because they do what they want to do. I used to go here all of the time years ago, and I stopped for the same reasons I'm stopping this time.

The first time I started going back there, probably in hopes that the same people weren't still working there, but I was wrong, and the waitress did the same thing she did years ago, and I ordered the two for one beer and she brought them both at the same time, and when I asked her could I get the beers one at a time, she said, that's how we do it here, and wobbled away. When she said that, it brought memories from her doing that years ago, so I did what I did years ago and sat somewhere else every time I went there.

I was going there 9-10 pm, and the place was always near empty, and I would seat myself because there was never anyone at the door, so this day this dude came to the table and just tossed the menu on the table to the point where I started to grab him and ask him why he did that? But when he came around I asked him nicely, but he got all emotional and yelled that I should go for it when I said I wanted to speak with his manager. As normal, he got to the manager before me, and I felt that the manager was making excuses for him because had I thrown it to one of them the way he threw the menu at me, they would probably asked me not to come back again. He is the only one getting emotional because I sat myself when I didn't see anyone, I been there other times with the same small crowd, and no one else got emotional when I sat myself.

Funny how people leave inaccurate reviews on what really happened. Christine the bartender was very busy and doing an amazing job taking care of everyone. Unfortunately a party of 3 (Christie earlier review) sat at the bar directly in front of the computer where Christine puts in her orders. One of the females/Christie became upset over salt vs sugar on the rim of the glass. She became irrational even after it was corrected by the manager and continued to harass Christine. She repeated several times she was looking forward to calling corporate in the morning and getting Christine fired over the salt vs sugar issue. Christine did her best to ignore her and continued to serve all her other guests. The customers on the other side of the bar were agitated and telling them to leave if they couldn't stop harassing Christine since they could hear her comments. They refused to leave and complained to the manager several times. Elaine, manager, was ineffective and unable to stop the harassment of Christine as the party of 3 was flipping people off and called the police since the restaurant was closing. An officer stood by Christie as she continued her disrespectful and obnoxious behavior making comments to people as they left and when asked what she said changed her comment to I said you have pretty hair. Disappointed Elaine as a manager was unable to control the situation. Once it was established that Christie was belligerent and harassing her bartender, Christie should have been removed. Christie is well known all up and down US 19 restaurants as being rude and condescending to staff. Christie should try staying home more or at the very least order her food for take out. After Halloween trick or treat amazing night w my mother w alzhaimers and my child 7 year old I decide to go to Applebee's. Its cheap 2 entree and 1 apetecer for 28 and a kids chicken Alfredo cant be over 35 dollar we all order water I did got a well deseve drink from the bar that was 5 dollars and i added 1 shot of rum Total 68 dollars and i never saw a receipt not sure if they thought we were illegal but if you are don't go here bc they will threaten to call emigration the cops they wont even give you a receipt the manager tells the server he has her back always while they brought to go boxes forcing us to pay wasnt enough they never offer an apology nor a receipt threatened to call the cop as if we did anything wrong. . I am a single mother who cares for mom w alzhaimers and 80 dollar Halloween dinner for 2 adults 1 child doesnt adds up to 70 dollars and the disrespect not only they ruin our night they took my money my child peace oh and they made us throw out our drinks. I wont be going back and if your spanish or even worse illegal dont even think so. Applebee's disgrace our own race w a manager who looks latino but its way too intimate w his servers he will support their negligence to costumers.
