My husband and I went to Applebee's for dinner. The restaurant was at less than 50% capacity. We had a 20 minute wait to be seated which was acceptable at first. As we waited outside the restaurant (as we were told to do) we noticed every time another customer arrived they were also given the same instructions. While waiting I glanced in the window near where I was waiting, curious to see how busy Applebee's was and to my complete surprise and disbelief the restaurant was almost completely empty. Only 8 tables in the entire restaurant were being used. Upon reentry to the restaurant after receiving a text message our table was ready we were seated by the hostess. After about 10 minutes our waiter Myka came to the table to get our drink order. Considering it was his 1st shift HE WAS EXCELLENT!! We then waited a little longer to get our Sweet Tea and Coca-Cola. Then decided we should order an appetizer to hold us over because it was apparent that it was going to be an extended wait on our dinner order which we gave at that time. About 10 minutes later our appetizer arrived (pretzels with cheese and mozzarella sticks). They we thankfully hot and fresh (the BEST PART OF OUR MEAL). 30 minutes later Myka came back to check on us and I questioned the delay in getting our dinner. He went back to check on it. He came back a few minutes later and said the delay was due to the chicken breast cook timeš my husband's steak was finished but they wanted to bring both meals together.
This was completely unacceptable I told him to bring out the meal that was ready so it didn't get cold. My husband's dinner was tolerable for him. Finally my chicken breast with shrimp and broccoli and mac and cheese was brought out. I looked at my plate in complete disgust. There was so much gravy that you could not even see the chicken. There was supposed to be 6 shrimp with the chicken there were only 3 and they were so flipping small you could hardly tell what they were. My broccoli was so cold that the butter wouldn't even melt!!!
I don't know if this was because we ordered off the 2 for$29.00 menu or what but I was COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY UNSATISFIED WITH OUR ENTIRE EXPERIENCE. Myka called the manager on duty over. I showed her my dinner and my disgust. She offered another meal which I refused because I didn't have another 30+ minutes to wait. She did remove my meal from our ticket and a so-so sincere apologies.
Don't know if we will return to this Applebee's again. If so it's not going to be anytime soon. Very Disappointed and...

It was a beautiful day so we asked to be seated outside. We sat outside for 15 minutes and nobody came to wait on our table. I went inside and asked a waitress if anyone was covering the outdoor seating area. She said she'd be out there in a minute. Another 8 to 10 minutes passed, still no waitress. We grabbed the menus from the table and went inside hoping to get service. We entered and asked to be seated and was asked by a waitress why we came inside. We explained that we had been there over 20 minutes and nobody would serve our table. She then seated us at a booth inside. After expressing our experience so far, one would think someone would be immediately available to serve our table. Again, there were probably only 5 or 6 other tables with customers, so it was not like it was swamped by any means. I watched the manager, an older male with white hair stand there in a gaggle and jaw jacking with four waitresses for five minutes before one of the waitresses came to our table. I counted six waitresses and three hostess personnel on the clock. The hostess personnel literally stood in a group at the entrance either surfing their phone or jaw jacking the entire time we were there. They literally did no work. Eventually we received our food. I have no complaints about the food. It wasn't over the top, but it was decent. The waitress never asked to refill drinks, and never checked back to ask if we needed anything. The manager for this location is absolutely horrible, and the actions of the staff reflect it greatly. We always enjoy Applebees, but this location will not see any more of my money. I definitely do not recommend this location to anyone. There are several other restaurants surrounding this Applebees. If you are in the area and looking for something to eat, I would recommend going to one of those other...

On to the food, first off I ended up paying 13.50-ish, for quesadillas I never ordered. We ordered the combo app and wonton tacos. I said āhoney bbq for the boneless wings, now tomatoes on the quesadillas and the wonton tacos. We are going to split the 2 appsā. Somehow, we ended up with 3 meals? š¤ Iāve worked in restaurants before, Iāve been a manager/bartender/server/cook, you name it, Iāve done it. I know damn good a well, things happen, however, she did not repeat the order back which is the first huge mistake. Second, if I sent the food back, they would throw it away so why waste food? I sucked it up, my son ate it and we enjoyed our dinner together. The tea was absolutely terrible, replaced it for a water. The chips on the combo were stale, the spinach dip tasted old/freezer burnt and the mozzarella sticks were barely cooked. The service (Helena), twice as bad as the tea. She took our drink order, took our food order, didnāt deliver our food, stopped by one time, never offered dessert, never offered boxes, to-go cups, nothing when we were very clearly finished eating. She was not very friendly wondered around like she couldnāt wait for us to leave, and the 6 top that came in right behind us. I canāt remember the last time I didnāt leave a 20% tip, but paying 49.80 for dinner, including a meal you never ordered, than not being helped the rest of the time you are there? 10% tip.
