I loved it!! I was super impressed with the Pain Suisse au Chocolat. It was fresh & light, and unmistakably French. You know if you know.
Honestly, I wanted to take home everything in the pastry case. It was also a good quality double espresso that went so well with that chocolate and pastry cream filling. I think I'd be their every day if I lived nearby. I'm kind of happy that it's not too close.
What also stood out to me was the café décor, and the amazing service. There is limited seating indoors, but I can totally see myself using the café seating outdoors when it's cooler. The pastries were also affordable for the quality. If you go early, then you may snag a bag of day old pastries for $10. I'm kicking myself for not getting one, but I just didn't want them to sit in the car all day. However, I will make a special trip to get a bag next time. I especially want to try the cheese croissant and one of the Emile Vergeois juices. They have so many yummy flavors. The William's Pear and Madagascar Lychee flavors were calling my name. I can't...
Read moreOH MY GOODNESS, this little French bakery is everything!!! My family and I discovered this place about a week after they opened @ The Krate and we could not be happier. We have been there twice and have tried multiple croissants (plain, chocolate, and almond - my personal favorite), sandwiches (chicken salad, ham and cheese, and pesto with roasted tomatoes and mozzarella). We also tried their Mango nectar that is also imported from France. It was absolutely d-e-l-i-s-h. But if you are a butter connoisseur, you HAVE TO get their ECHIRE salted butter (a famed artisan French butter, from the milk of cows of the small village of Poitiers and La Rochelle). I promise you, it is worth the price. Their lattes are so tasty - highly recommend! Service by the entire team, and especially by the owners, Xavier and Bridgette, are top notch each and every time! We will be regulars for sure. Please give them a try even if you live far. It will not be a waste...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Bakery X, conveniently located in Krate at The Grove, right off I-75, and it was an absolute delight! The atmosphere inside is wonderfully quaint, making for a cozy and inviting experience. But the real stars of the show are the pastries. Seriously, these aren't just good; they're delicious and truly comparable to some of the best I've tasted in Europe. Every bite was a little piece of heaven. Beyond the incredible treats, the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable, happily answering all my questions about their offerings. I also loved that they had jams and other small artisanal items available for purchase, perfect for taking a bit of that Bakery X magic home with you. I'll definitely be visiting Bakery X again soon. If you're looking for an authentic and incredibly tasty bakery experience, you absolutely have to check...
