If you’re looking for a place to go to eat/drink/relax and enjoy a dynamic culinary experience Black Flamingo Brewery & Kitchen in Oakland Park is it!!! (3482 NE 12th Ave.) It was definitely a hidden gemstone to me!

A group of us girls were going to lunch at Rosie’s on Sunday. We called ahead and there was a 75 minute wait… When you’re hungry 75 minute wait —- no thanks — one of the girls suggested Black Flamingo… she said she wanted to try it and maybe today was the day —-funny I had just driven by on Dixie Highway the other day and thought I never saw this place before. The menu is attached…. we ask for recommendations on burgers and wow ….were we pleasantly surprised! Don’t try to change anything on your order unless you’re allergic —the ingredients are all there for a reason. I split the LA 33 (The Colombian Burger) with fries (next time I’ll take pics). Best Burger ever !!! Another friend had the Brie Bacon Jam Burger (but she said no pickled onions — mistake mistake) but her comment was these burgers are better than Rosie’s any day!!! (and I totally agree with that!). And another big hit was the the special order (upcharge… well worth it) made-to-order Veggie Burger with truffle fries…. Normally… we would’ve taken pictures, but it was so good. We didn’t stop eating and then it was gone!

But will be back for sure… The owners Andres & Stephanie were so welcoming… A place you just won’t forget! Oh, and did I say a brewery yes, the brew was great —excellent selections & the cider our friend had was...

Amazing food! OMGosh! My friends & I ordered 5 different munchies plus 1 pizza. No 2 foods had similar taste, they all had original flavors unique to that food & sooo very tasty. The pulled pork sliders were sooo tender & flavorful. We will all be going back often. The owners, Andres & Stephanie were so friendly & personable, greeted us at our table & stopped over few times just to chat & check in. They made sure we had everything we needed, really made us feel welcomed & they were very appreciative of our many positive comments on their food. We had wonderful service with friendly people just doing a great job at food. The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, prices were very reasonable. We split our bill 4 ways & paying $43/person for eating 6 different dishes with beverages is amazing. I did not partake in beer, but my friends enjoyed their beers & we noticed several people at the bar enjoying beer flights. Black Flamingo is a total gem! The vibe is super chill and the decor is on point, making it a great spot to kick back with friends or even for a low-key date night.

Now, let's talk about their drinks. They've got a fantastic selection of beers, from hoppy IPAs to smooth stouts. Oh, and I have to mention the wings – seriously, the best wings I have truly ever had!
