Bob Evans — Restaurant in Florida

Food was excellent. Service? Ha, what service. There was one server that knew how to do her job. Poor thing was going to every table while three others stood around looking confused.

The quality of the food has food way down. The same horrible service. Every question I asked, she had to go look. A different server came over and said she was taking over our table. She came by about 6 times and said the food would be right out. Half hour later she said the first server put our order in the wrong computer and talked about how normal that was for her. The first set of biscuits were hard and I asked for fresh ones. They brought out some that were harder than the first and smothered in butter. I said oh I asked for no butter, I have an allergy. The server said that's just how they are served and I never had a fresh one before if I've never seen it like that. So I couldn't eat them. One of the fish fillets was all burnt batter. My half cup of home fries were the size of peas. Not quite fully cooked. We asked for the manager. She proceeded to tell me that the home fries were just scooped out and that's how they are. Same about the fish. She did say she would get me fresh biscuits with no butter. I passed. Went the whole time with an empty drink cup. I asked if they stopped doing refills and she said she was just coming to ask if I wanted more. I finished by food ten minutes before. Was out for half of the meal. Got told by the server that nothing they could do make us happy and she was done with us. The manager would deal with us now. Had to go to the front to pay without a check. The manager wouldn't even look at us. She told the cashier to give us a discount, but it couldn't have been much. The total was maybe 3 dollars less than it should've been. But we don't know because we never saw a bill. Dispite the bad service, the food always brought us back....

From the moment we sat down and ordered our service was terrible. 15 minutes in an uncrowded restaurant to get drinks, and then 10 minutes later we got asked if we were ready to order. We ordered food. It came out 22 minutes later not bad but in that time my drink sat empty, and our waitress (Alexis) walked by 6 or 8 times, serving all the other customers around us looking at my drink and kept walking. Finally we got the food and then I got a refill. Well the food was an absolute joke. Come on Bob Evans get it together and if this is the best you have I’ll never come back. I don’t usually eat here because it’s going downhill like a snowball headed to hell. However family asked to eat there so I gave in. How can you mess up pancakes? How can you serve butter in a dirty dish and how do you get leaf lettuce inside of your scrambled eggs? Overall it was pretty poor quality meal and service would have been better at McDonald’s during rush hour with a broken ice cream machine. I have nothing pleasant to say about this place! My advice spend your money elsewhere! Shoot take the drive and go out to the Roost on US 27 at least there you’ll get good food and service with a smile. Hi, this is my second time coming to Bob Evans since I’ve been here 13 years. Last year I came for the Thanksgiving meal. It was wonderful had a wonderful waitress Allie. on October 14, 2025 we came in not a friendly atmosphere at the front. I asked if Allie was there and they said no and then she told me she doesn’t work here anymore for whatever reason I don’t know but she was a great, , waitress, friendly, welcoming, cherry, helpful the lady or the person at the front desk just asked to and do you want a booth or a table we got a booth the waitress that we got was a young lady probably not very experienced not welcoming not suggestive not friendly, not talkative. I’m sorry to say the meal was good, but not the service as far as the Atmosphere waitresses were walking around not very friendly either not cheery at all. They weren’t friendly or cheery. It would be great if you can suggest to your waitresses that they should be promoting Bob Evans more but we like the food so just wanted to share that with you.
