Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Florida

If I could give it a negative 10, that would be more accurate. The nastiest tasting fast food I have ever experienced. Hubby, who rarely has anything negative to say, hated his as well. 1/2 pound burgers were LOADED with lettuce, but barely any condiments. So, it was like choking down a cardboard box - no moisture. Bread was over grilled and like a rock! Ended up throwing the nasty food out. If we had not got it to go, I would have taken it back. But, we were already a couple of lights away and it just wasn't worth the hassle and the rude employee. No ice in the fountain machine and when I asked - they were out. WTH - go buy some from a convenience store. And, Corey, the cashier - well, that should have been our first clue. Didn't speak a word, and when my husband said hello to him, Corey acted as though my hubby had 3 eyes. Jerk still didn't respond. He obviously hates his job and should be let go. The front line is the face of the restaurant and pure disgust doesn't appeal to customers. The elderly lady behind me was asking a question about a blizzard and the a-hole, Corey, literally rolled his eyes at her. Um, jackbutt, you're getting paid to do a job!! I have NO tolerance for employees with this type of attitude!!! Awful...

From Bad to Blizzard Soup – A Cold Tale

I’m not usually one to complain… but after two years of giving this place way too many chances, I think it’s time to speak up. This isn’t a review based on one bad day—it’s the result of a long, tragic relationship with a restaurant that just keeps letting us down.

Let’s start with the food. I’ve been served cold chicken and gravy more than once—and not like “it cooled off while I was talking” cold, but “sit there forgotten sad chiken strip” cold. The grease they cook in tastes old burnt nasty not fresh. We finally gave up on the food and downgraded to just ordering Blizzards and ice cream every now and then.

Big mistake.

These days, the Blizzards are so runny they don’t even bother flipping them upside down anymore. Honestly, I wasn’t sure if I was drinking a shake or starting a new soup diet. Even the sundaes show up already half-melted—like they’ve given up on life halfway to the table.

Again, this isn’t one-off bad luck. This has been the sad, sticky pattern over several visits.

I wish I had taken photos to show just how rough it’s gotten. Until then, just picture a fast-food...

Other than giving my order to a person who looked like he just wanted to go home, and was not that friendly. This wasn't too bad of a visit. Enjoyed discovering a special on the chicken tenders meal they have there. Chicken tenders and occasional ice cream orders are my two main reasons for going to DQ. Of course they have burgers there also, and their great selection of blizzards and other ice cream treats. The chicken tender meal was a bit smaller, but cost less. The special part of the meal was that it included a small sundae. Don't visit any Dairy Queen restaurants too often since I don't eat that much ice cream (junk food). But, do enjoy those chicken tenders with some great gravy available for them. Do get the enjoyable blizzard...
