Terrible service, when we first arrived we took a seat in the lobby to wait to be seated. Several other people walked in behind us and were seated immediately. It wasn't until I asked the hostess in front if they had any tables available and than she told me that they have one booth left, I said ok thats fine. When we were finally seated after waiting 20 mins in the lobby, she than tells us that they ran out of silverware ok its busy. Our waitress comes takes our drink orders and I ask for our drinks to be put in to go cups when she comes back one of 4 of our drinks are in a to go cup, thats fine whatever not abig deal. So than she proceeds to take our order and goes to the back to put it in. 30 mins go by she comes back to the table to explain that they are super busy they are trying to play catch up with the tables outside. Ok understate, well we dont see our waitress for another hour until I flag her down to our table and ask how much longer on our food, we have been here am hour and a half and my children are hungry as are we. I than tell her that the table next to us sat down 20 mins after we ordered our food and they have received their meal. So she goes to the back and comes back to tell us that there was a mistake in the kitchen and our ticket was skipped over and our order was never placed in the kitche. Really for one what waitress does not check in periodically with their tables or check to see if their order is In. Needless to say we told her if they did not place the order in the kitchen yet than to stop it because we are ready to leave so we need the check for our drinks and chips and salsa. She goes to the back cancels the order I guess and tells us we dont owe anything and we walk out we will never go back the service was horrible and any consideration of customer care was neglected big time. We understand that Its father's day and how busy it gets but thats no excuse for the way we as customers...
Read moreTook my mom for lunch yesterday, July 27, 2021. We ordered the chicken, shrimp, steak Fajitas. The order came out with teriyaki sauce all over the whole dish. When I sent it back, a young man came out to talk with us. He stated that all the cook's prepare it differently. I then stated that we just wanted what we ordered. Additionally, I wanted him too be aware that the meat we were served was previously cooked and not fresh. He then continued that the steak was always tough and he personally would not eat it. What? That entree was $19.10. I want to know why a meal could be so much when we were served with old and overcooked steak with the teriyaki sauce to cover the old meat. We went for lunch.
No where on the menu did the fajitas have the whole meal cooked or smothered with teriyaki. I was really upset after the man came out to try and defend the cook. Once again, stated just wanted what we ordered and if that was a problem we would leave.
Additionally, we did not get or offered fresh tortillas or fresh beans and rice when the recooked meal was prepared. Needless to say they were all cold. He walked away, not offering an apology for the situation we were placed in.
In addition, the fountain ice tea was horrible. Those taps have not been cleaned in a very long time. I had to ask for a water instead.
The server we had was very nice and the above matter does not reflect on her.
At this point in time, that is it for me. I really liked the restaurant when it first opened, but has slowly gone down hill fast. I am not looking for anything from your company. You should be aware of everything that goes on within that facility.
I know the pandemic has placed pressure on all food service businesses, but what is on your menu should be fresh and palletable. At this point you should be grateful I didn't call the Department of Health in Highlands...
Read moreI have gone exactly 3 times to this restaurant. The First time the service was great and the food portion was surprisingly large for the price. Enough to have half of the burrito left over for the next day. The taste is also amazing! The second time, the service was a little bit more slow but portion size and food taste was still amazing. We went a week later again because of how good the food was and we were completely thrown off by a new menu with new prices. I think some dishes were taken off the menu because the menu used to be a booklet type menu and now it's just a single page, front and back. The prices also went up. The burrito I ordered the last time I was there went from 14.50 to 17.00 dollars. At first I understood because of inflation everything is going up. But when the burrito came, the portion size was noticably smaller. The food still tastes great but there was nothing left over to take home. For the price point, I could have just gotten chipotle burrito which leaves me enough for the next day. The service the last time I went was also lacking. I think maybe the hostess forgot to tell the waiter we were here because we waited a good 15 minutes before anyone noticed we hadn't been served yet. Azul tequila is a great place to go for the ambiance and the food. But the service is inconsistent and the price for the portion size doesn't seem justifiable. Maybe a good place to go everonce in a while when your wallet allows for it. But 17 dollars for a medium size burrito...
