Bold Cup Coffee — Restaurant in Florida

I was in the area and looking for some coffee when I found this nearby on Maps. I got an iced latte with pumpkin syrup and an iced chai with almond milk and pumpkin syrup for $12ish. They do advertise it openly in store but the syrups are Monin brand which was disappointing for me. Additionally, the flavor of the roast was not my favorite, leaning more towards a bitter burnt taste but not exactly horrible. I was greatly disappointed in the quality and materials, especially for the price of the items. It’s $13 for a liter of chai concentrate by Monin which is what they use and they’re charging $6 for 2 pumps of that and some low quality milk and ice. Overall, it’s not the worst place to grab a cup of coffee, it gets the job done and it’s not Starbucks so there’s that. I likely won’t revisit just because it’s not my preferred cup, but I would be open to revisiting if they ever offered housemade syrup options or more cost effective prices.

If you’re looking for a decent cup, I wouldn’t discourage, but if you’re searching for some premium tasty and creamy coffee and lattes, I would not recommend!

I do not wish for a refund and I am well aware I am not being forced to buy a cup of coffee. The money I spent is my own error and choice and my review is an OPINION. While I do not own a business myself, I am not naive to the struggle of a small business. That being said, I have visited many small business coffee shops that have unique and house made options with fair pricing so to imagine that is out of the scope of possibility would be negative and erroneous. Additionally, as a small business you should know that people are free to share their opinions so that others with different preferences may have an idea of what to expect. Like I said in my review, it’s not my preferred cup and every one else is free to form their own opinion. I wish your business the best but perhaps you should consider being open to alternative opinions and not taking it personally. I gave your shop 4 stars despite feeling that was a generous rating considering my experience, so to call my review negative feels discourteous and disingenuous. I can't even believe how amazing this place was. It is SO much more than just a coffee shop - it is a friendly, welcoming, awesome place! Besides amazing coffee, they serve wonderful teas (that I will go into), and some incredibly delicious muffins.

We were in town 2 days, and came here 3 times. My friend is an espresso nut, and had an amazingly artistic cup of espresso the first time. I ordered an orange blossom iced tea. Well, that tea was so delicious and flavorful, from the first sip, I was addicted. After devouring it, I went back and asked what made it so good. The people working there are SO nice, and she explained the tea making process. In a few minutes, she brought me out a tea bag of it to take home – how SUPER nice! We enjoyed sitting in this place (the décor is wonderful, relaxed, and the place is very clean). We also had a muffin that was HUGE and out of this world.

Day 2, we went back. My friend had the espresso again and I opted for a peach iced tea. I really wanted the orange again, but I hate being a creature of habit, so I got the peach. Amazing flavor and just as good – but I loved the orange so much that I bought a bag of it to bring home. I am not sure if this man was the owner, but he explained explicitly to me how to make the tea to maximize the flavor (I appreciate that). If he wasn’t the owner, he is a great employee because he cares about this place!! As I drove home in my car, I could smell the delicious orange – it is made in Florida and fair trade – great tea – fair trade: win/win.

The third time was another espresso to go (just as delicious) and an amazing cherry muffin!

I loved this place and the friendliness of the people who work here – they all take pride in the place and explain everything they make – I liked that. When my travels bring me back to Melbourne, I will definitely be back...

I just asked for a simple espresso basically I wanted two shots and the young lady seemed a little confused I thought it was a pretty simple order but she mentioned oh she just runs it through the same grounds twice. I tried to explain it to her but she just kind of looked at me like she was lost so I just let her make it and I must say it was the most bitter disgusting shot I have ever had I put it down because hey I paid for it but I literally had to go to another place which was starbucks, and wow it was night and day. I mean I don't know about the rest of their coffees but if you can't get the expresso right it all falls apart there was another older girl there or woman I should say, and I wish she took over but she just sat there and let the young one do which now I work up here in this area I won't be back.
