THIS IS A NO STAR REVIEW but it won't allow me to post without giving one star!!! OMG...where to start. I live and work in the Palencia community so occasionally I"m short of time and will stop at this BK to pick up something quick for lunch. They are always abysmally slow and simply don't seem to care. Often they are out of basic menu items. They can have half a dozen customers and it takes 10 minutes just to take your order. Any Chi- fil-a can have dozens of customers and you get your food in less time. And it's much better food! So yesterday I was not feeling well and didn't have anything in the house to eat, the only thing that sounded reasonably good was french fries so I jumped in my car, no shoes and got to BK to find the drive through closed...that happens fairly often at this location so I wasn't terribly surprised. So...I drove home and put on shoes, drove back out and around to the entrance door where there was a "no power" sign on the door. My mistake for not driving around the other side before going home for shoes but it never occurred to me they were closed because there were lights on inside, and still were, but I asked an employee who was standing outside the door if they were closed and she said they had no power. Not "I'm so sorry, we have no power" simply "there's no power. None of the other businesses nearby appeared to be down so I have no idea why only the BK was affected. So no fries for me...and still under the weather today I run out just before noon and pull up to the drive through to find a sign stating they can't take debit or credit cards...well wouldn't you know I had gone out the door without any cash. On top of it the "pull out" was barricaded so I had to back all the way out of the drive through...I just got out before another car pulled in behind me. So back home to get some cash. I have a buy one Whopper get a Whopper free coupon so I order those as well as fries. This goes pretty smoothly....until I get home to find there is only one Whopper in the bag. I tried to phone the number on the google look up but I got a Verizon message saying I couldn't leave a message. Seriously...this is insane!!!! Four trips to BK and my order is wrong!! Even with no competition I don't know how they can stay in business. I"m going to start lobbying Chik-fil-a to build a restaurant here...then BK will go out of business!! Can I give no stars?!?!?!? I guess not because it won't allow me to post but know this is really a NO...
Read moreI have been living in Palencia for a little over a year. As all residents know we have very few dining/food options but with new options coming. This Burger King provides for the most part good customer service but food lacks quality. They skew their drive times by keeping a nasty/dirty tea pitcher outside the 2nd drive thru window and have you stop as soon as you place your order at the drive thru menu. This makes their reporting system look like cars are not waiting as long for their orders. Most people probably think it is a trash can but it’s not. If it was trash can then it would be as you pull away from window (like McDonalds) and would be actual trash can. It really looks tacky for this nice area to have a filthy tea pitcher outside below drive thru window. Corporates usually scores their restaurants on several things and one being how fast they push orders out and not keep customers waiting in which this Burger King at Palencia of St. Augustine falsifies their times. You can pretty much only get breakfast or lunch (not late lunch) that is served hot. The dinner is made way in advance so when you come in and order then the food is not fresh or so called hot. You can tell it’s been sitting there a while. I don’t mind waiting on good hot or fresh food but it bothers me when I pay $$ and get served old or room temp food. Also you never know their closing time. Sometimes they are closed at 9pm etc. I have also seen employees inside during a supposedly open time and have all lights off and their vehicles on the other side of the building so it looks as if they are closed. The owner should be contacted by Burger King Coooration and have to make changes. Better yet it would be nice if a Chik-Fil-A was their instead. Then the customer satisfaction would be 5 stars instead...
Read moreUpdate: I had to try again. Surprisingly, they are putting in the effort to turn things around. The attitude has shifted and they are improving the customer service. They are getting the order right and I'm actually quite impressed. If the food and the service match the location then there's no way they won't be hugely successful.
(I left the original review up in order to be able to see the improvements they have made.)
Don't waste your time. I arrived at the drive-thru 30 mins before they closed. There was clearly someone in there, and how funny it was to watch him try try try with all his might to avoid looking towards the drive-thru. So I waited; just to see what he'd do. 5 mins. before they close and now and he finally looks up and makes a hand motion indicating that that they're closed. Then refusing to open the window to even say anything, I basically had to tell him through the window to look at his new review on-line. It's absolutely ridiculous that people like this can even have jobs. I'm actually glad I didn't let this a-hat make me any food. I don't want "whatever he has" getting on me. Headed to Whataburger 15 mins from here because I know they will do what they were hired to do. Thanks for being lazy! Hey, but at least you got to...
