Filthy, Rude, and a Complete Scam – Never Again
If I could give them a negative or zero stars, I would. Worst bagel place I have ever been to!
I don’t usually leave reviews, but my experience at Joint Bagel Co. was so unbelievably bad, it deserves to be called out.
First off, the place was dirty — floors, counters, and tables looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in days. I felt gross just standing there waiting. But unfortunately, that wasn’t even the worst part.
The customer service was downright hostile. When there was a clear issue — entirely on their end — instead of correcting it, they blamed me, the customer. Zero professionalism, zero courtesy, and clearly zero training.
Then, even though I had to waste my time to drive all the way back to correct their mistake, they charged me again and did a little more blaming. They are rude and incompetent to say the least.
I ordered a bagel with tuna salad, and not only was it dry and barely edible, but they had the audacity to charge $2.00 just to cut it open and leave it open-faced. Yes, seriously — $2.00 to slice a bagel and NOT even make a sandwich out of it. And the amount of tuna they gave me was laughable — barely enough to cover one half, let alone two.
This place is an absolute rip-off, with terrible food, filthy surroundings, and a staff that treats customers like an inconvenience. It’s the kind of place that gives small businesses a bad name.

Read moreI don’t write many reviews on here, mainly because most places in Jax and St. John’s are mediocre chains, typical suburbanite fair that are forgettable, commoditized and exist solely to placate the uncultured masses.
I don’t even eat bagels now because bagels in 90% of America are overly chewy nonsense made in factories in the middle of the country. Unless you live in a city like New York or Montreal, the chances of getting a good bagel are about as good as the chances that American politics is going to become civil soon.
A customer of mine told me about this place, and I was skeptical. Gave it a shot this morning, bought half a dozen to bring home and a pork roll and egg on an everything.
I was impressed, I have a culinary background and was a chef and kitchen manager for many years. I’m not easy to impress and perhaps I’m too hard on things. The sandwich was made with care and you could tell the bagels were as well. They had a nice chew, a slight crisp on the outside and salted correctly. The sandwich was not overly greasy and assembled nicely. The eggs were done well and not overcooked. Overall it was so much better than most breakfast sandwich’s that can be acquired around here
Excellent job! Look foreward to many more visits and trying...
Read moreI recently visited Joint Bagel Co., and it was an incredible experience! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by the warm, inviting atmosphere and the delightful aroma of freshly baked bagels. The variety they offer is impressive, with something for everyone. As someone who follows a plant-based diet, I was thrilled to find several vegan-friendly options. The vegan bagels were absolutely delicious—fluffy, perfectly toasted, and topped with flavorful spreads that made my taste buds dance.
One of the highlights of Joint Bagel Co. is how quickly they sell out, so I highly recommend going early to snag your favorites before they’re gone. It’s clear that the staff puts a lot of care into crafting each bagel, and their dedication to quality really shows.
The staff was also friendly and efficient, adding to the overall pleasant experience. Whether you’re a vegan or not, there’s something for everyone, and the flavors are out of this world. I’ll definitely be back to enjoy more of their mouthwatering bagels. If you're a bagel lover, this place is a must-visit! Just remember to get there early so you...
