Capriotti's Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in Florida

Edit 4/2025. I've been a few times since original review. Today was half sub and soup, pickup between 12:10-12:15. At 12:20, nothing in pickup bins. After people in line placed orders, cashier asked what do I need. I said pickup. He said what is it, so I began to say half sub and soup and he rudely interrupted saying, NO what's the NAME, like I did something wrong. I answered exactly what he first asked! It was on the counter instead of in the delivery bin, so the entire interaction was unnecessary. Just because he made mistakes was no call for rudeness. Given this and issues with most prior orders, I give up. We have many other sub places in the area.

Picked up a to go order of a half Wagyu cheese steak and a half Wagyu Slaw Be Jo with chips and one soda. We've picked up take out with similar orders before. Overall the food and service are good but a couple of times there were only 2 teens working that were less interested in customers, and lacked attention to detail, such as the au jus missing from a French dip. No one wants to have to go back to a restaurant after just having picked up an order. Will likely continue to order on occasion but not as regularly as we would if the consistency were spot on. I'm done going here... First... this was the third time out of three times that they did not have enough meatballs to fill a large sub.... they had a problem with the POS system... they wanted to charge me over the phone for my order instead of me paying for it when I picked it up... that I guess I can understand but they would have charged me for something they couldn't provide because they didn't have enough meatballs! THEN, they TRIED to make it right by making half a meatball sandwich and half of a different sandwich and told us they weren't going to charge us... but ended up not only charging us for the large meatball sub we never got AND the half SUB they gave us. The Philly cheesesteak was absolutely delicious... until it was ruined by hard cartilage or bone 3 bites in a row... that's one thing I can't do so I wasn't able to finish my meal. The sandwiches are overpriced and, maybe it's just this location, but super disappointing. It's a shame because flavor-wise, they are decent. The interior vibe is nothing fancy. This is my favorite sandwich shop in the area! The service is great and pretty quick. I almost always order online and it's always ready on time. I've never gotten an incorrect order. My favorite is the hot Bobbie! It's has so much flavor and is very filling! I recently tried the French dip with au jus and loved it!! The other sandwiches are great as well, my husband always gets the cheesesteaks. But beware, the hot peppers are HOT! I just tried the fries for the first time and the options are amazing! I got the wagyu steak fries and the toppings were delicious. The fries however, are the only thing I have to complain about. They're big but completely flat like the potato was sucked right out of them. Not my preference but my husband still loves them. Please don't be scared away by the fact that it's a chain.
