Cat-Tails Pool Bar & Grille — Restaurant in Florida

My friend and I enjoyed the food here but weren't aware there was an 18% gratuity included. We each tipped our server 30%, only to realize after we got our final copy of the bill that the 18% had already been included - which led to us EACH tipping 48%. We meant to be generous with 30% but 48% is a bit excessive and frustrating. We tried to call the restaurant upon realizing it but no one answered and we were unable to leave a message. We also called the front desk to see if they could assist us in rectifying the issue. They transferred us back to the restaurant and we weren't able to...

Late (1:00pm) lunch sandwich purchased from adjacent 18 Monroe Street Market. Just myself (alone). I Sat down at a table with not one person sitting at the bar or any other tables. Not a dinner in sight - photo attached.

I was asked to leave because all tables are reserved for just Cat-Tails. What am I missing here. Yes, if it was packed full of dinners I would understand nor was there going to be a mad rush of dinners.

Fresh flavors!

I’m giving Cat-Tails five stars for food quality. The price was high but reasonable for poolside resort dining. We had to grab the server to get a poolside order but we weren’t in a hurry. My Cobb salad was a perfect lunch portion. The lemon Dijon vinaigrette was delicious with the thick chunky bacon and blue cheese. The lettuce was farm fresh and the tomatoes were bursting with flavor.

I would visit cattails again. The fish and chips looked out of this...
