Checkers — Restaurant in Florida

Went through the drive through with my family last night ordered food before going fishing I was checking the bag while the guy in the drive through rudely shut the window in my face we ended up having to park to get our drinks and rest of the food he did not give at the time to us through the drive through window we went up to the window outside to get our stuff my husband and him had an argument my husband commented to him on how you do not treat people that way he than proceeded to take it apon himself that he wanted to attack my husband threatened with words also stated he would use a weapon I repeatedly was yelling letting him know I will call the police and I will call his general manager the worker then went back inside and continues to argue through the window I proceeded to tell him to please give us our drinks so we could go because he continued trying to egg my husband on and get him upset he then told me he would not give me my drinks and to leave when he was the one that started the whole thing but shutting the window in our face and not coming back up to the window in the dry through after that he proceeded and did start making the drinks but one at a time to continue to argue with us and cause a problem when I constantly asked the man to stop he also said he did not care about the job and it was his last day so we still managed to end up with the wrong food and I did not want to go back I was under a lot of stress and knew if I went back I would have to bring the police with me the poor nice girl worker there apologized to us for what happen and I could tell she was in distress that man should not be working there or even be able to work anywhere treating other humans that way and I feel absolutely horrible and worried for that girl worker that does her job correctly I felt it was unsafe for her there she was awesome I have called corporate and let them know what happened and tried calling the store as well but it goes straight to voicemail and left a message with the manager there at the store as well . Completely horrible I really could not believe that even happened we have been to that checkers times before and everyone else there has been so nice never an issue I will not be going back there if that man is working there and I also have a family owned bussniess & that kind of behavior would never be tolerated or shown at all in our bussniess I hope it does not happen to anyone else and for the safety of others around that employee should not be working there or working anywhere with that kind of life style and someone does need to do something about it I come back he’s there we will be driving away and letting other people know what possibly could happen but as well for your employees to be can work peacefully and continue loving what they do and there customer the employees do...

Waste of time and more people need to know delivery drivers are NOT paid by the hour and what a huge problem you cause by simply NOT reading a name.

I'll first emphasize, the tall young man (Mngr?) was fantastic, but the young girl (reddish blonde) is, I'm sorry, completely inept.

Absolutely understandable that some people are trying to function with lower capacity, so I don't want to disparage anyone with lower IQ who legit WORK. But when you mess up badly enough that it's costing the customer their order (order was canceled), and wasting people's time (unpaid labor) AND cost the restaurant (remake food), it's a problem.

She handed me the wrong order, I noticed it was wrong, she said "Oh, the name is almost the same", then the young man said the order was already picked up by someone else.

Fair enough, that happens. But when I told HER on front of (Mngr?) "I specifically asked if this was Talia's order and you said "Yes", she reiterated "The names are so similar. - But it turns out the other order name was "May" Just further proof of the complete incompetence; the names are in no way similar.

So I call delivery service to let them know the problem, they confirm the Talia order was never delivered, so they ask me to wait if the restaurant will remake the food. - All while I'm UNPAID for this mess.

So while I'm still on the phone with delivery service, I tell her "__ wants you to remake the order" - She says nothing to me, no confirmation if she'll do it or not, and she walks away to tell (Mngr?)

So I ask delivery service to please call them to tell them to remake it because I'm dealing with a problem child here, waiting, waiting, waiting and delivery service comes back to confirm no one answered the phone so they CANCELED THE ORDER.

So now the customer is without their order and ALL this TIME WASTED while I'm standing at their window in 85 degree heat (no lobby)

Then all of a sudden the (Mngr?) appears with the oder re-made?!?! - Why didn't problem child girl say they'd do it?!?! Because __, that's why.

I'm positive she gave the Talia order to the other driver whom delivered it to the other address and the May order was meant for that other driver. In the meantime, LOOK at what snowball, chain reaction, huge MESS this causes just because you cannot or will not read the names correctly. - This entire scenario was completely avoidable.

ps) Nice of the young man to offer me the remade food, but I declined. I wasn't hungry also I don't want free food of your mistake while the customer goes without their order! - By the way, since the order was canceled, I didn't know the address even if I were to try to bring the...

Went to Checkers on Lockwood Ridge Rd and University Ave. in Sarasota and ordered two hotdogs at promotional price of 2 for $6.00, upgraded each order at promotional price of $3.00 more per order which would include fries plus a drink. Upgraded one of the drinks to large. Total came to $17.71. Handed the attendant $20.71 and when I noticed he was going to give me coin change back I told him my change was $3.00 and he claimed I had given him .21 cents. I told him I gave him a $20 bill plus two quarters, four nickels and a penny which amounted to $20.71. Someone else came along and started to argue with me but then told him to give me the three dollars. I then proceeded to check my order and they only handed me one drink. I explained I had asked for the large fruit punch which they gave me and had also ordered a medium mango drink and that they were out of mango at the time I told him I had paid for a mango drink and showed him my receipt he stated that was an Add-on and I was not to get my second drink. I left the place without my second drink and very dissatisfied with the service and arguments I received. It is my first bad experience with Checkers but...
