Thai Food To Go is an absolute hidden gem. It is places like this, the small hole in the walls and humble food trucks, that are truly the heart and soul of the culinary world. They are the ones who put real love, passion, and pride into their food, and you can taste it in every bite.

From the moment I walked up, I could tell this was going to be something special. I ordered a Thai tea, and it was honestly one of the best I have ever had. It was perfectly made, not overly sweet like you sometimes find, just the right balance of creamy, refreshing, and flavorful. You could tell it was made with care, not just thrown together.

For my meal, I got the chicken fried rice, made fresh to order without onions because I cannot stand onions. They were more than happy to accommodate my request, and let me tell you, it was incredible. Hot, fresh, flavorful, and just so satisfying. You can feel the difference when food is cooked specifically for you, rather than sitting around waiting to be scooped into a takeout box.

The prices are extremely reasonable, especially for the quality and freshness of the food. You truly get so much value here. Everything was piping hot, seasoned perfectly, and made with what felt like genuine love for cooking.

The owners are also absolutely wonderful, kind, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. It is rare these days to find a place where you feel so appreciated as a customer and where you can tell the owners genuinely care about every plate that goes out the window.

I will definitely be back next week, and honestly, many times after that. Thai Food To Go is the kind of place that reminds you why supporting small businesses matters. They are the real MVPs of the food world, and they deserve all the success...

I probably shouldn't do this...

But I'm about to tell you about Sarasota's biggest culinary secret.

And what you're about to discover, should you visit Monty & Jenya's food truck this weekend...

Is the BEST authentic Thai food in Florida.

Fresh, delicious, SPICY (if you want it!), homemade, fast, and memorable...

Plus the decor is really wacky & fun!

Monty decked out his food truck & tent to make you feel like you're in a little slice of Thailand when you visit...

I've shared many a date with my girlfriend over their mouth-watering cooking, we pick it up EVERY Sunday now without fail.

It's truly an experience.

Which is why I DON'T want to tell you about it...

We want to keep the secret to ourselves!!!

But it's high time I did them the favor back...

And let you know how much you're missing out.

So if you're on the fence, don't hesitate - just do it!

I recommend the Spicy Basil Chicken if you like things Thai hot...

But if you don't like spicy...

Then definitely get the Pad Thai or "Better Than Pho" Soup:

Easily the best Pad Thai and Thai Soup in Sarasota.

*ANDDD...

Don't forget to add at least 2+ orders of the Thai Pork Sticks...

You'll regret not getting more of them (I ALWAYS have to gobble up my share before my girlfriend gets to them!).

Lastly...

To Monty & Jenya...

Thank you for showing up without fail and tirelessly serving us all these months.

We're already looking forward to seeing you...

Finally was able to stop by this food truck today. Have to say I will be back! Keep in mind they are cash only. The couple running the food truck are awesome! The gentleman taking orders was very kind and gave us samples of their Thai chili spice. The woman cooking is from Thailand and the recipes were passed down from her grandmother according to the gentleman who took out order. You know the food is good when it's authentic recipes passed down from prior generations. I got the spicy beef and rice and it was amazing, and definitely spicy! My mom got a chicken dish and panang chicken for her boyfriend. We were all happy with our meals. The sweet potato curry puffs were addictive and id come back just for a couple orders of those. Next time I'll try the better than pho soup. Don't skip out on this food truck, you won't be...

I'm such a lucky girl, my Dog parents take me everywhere and We just visited this great Thai Food Truck. They are super pet friendly, nice folks and have outdoor seating available to have your delicious meal on site or you can take it to go. My dog-mum shared her Thai Sticks with me. Yum! Marinated pork on a stick! Now that's a dog's dream, my humans loved it too. They also ordered the Tum Yum and Spicy Basil Chicken and a beef soup that makes my Dog-dad do the happy dance. So grab your leash and your 2 leggers, and take your next car ride to the Thai soup Food Truck. Arf Arf. -Annie approved 🐾

Was not all that grand of an experience, you'll get equal poor portions of protein, vegetables to rice. The chicken was dry like turkey. Shrimp rolls were limp bearly any noodles. On my travels to Asia if they were to feed like this, they would be out of business. In 12 bites on an average plastic fork my meal of curry and rice was over. Not even near full with a bottle of water. Hope yall improve, not every new customer is on a diet. Tip: rice should be warm... wish you the best of success.
