Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Florida

Where do I begin? Sunday 2/26/23 around 6:30pm. Chose this restaurant because it was close to our hotel and wasn't busy. Should have been a red flag there.... Walk in and the host just stares at us. After a very uncomfortable long pause he asks if we want to be seated? Red flag number two... We get seated and our server comes over and says he will be right with us. No worries... He finally comes back over and we tell him we are ready to order. He says he is just going to take our drink order for now. We tell him that we already know what we want so he could take our order but he says again he just wants to get our drinks. Red flag number three... He takes our drink order and I ordered a unsweetened tea, he said it back as a sweetened tea so I say again unsweetened tea. We get our drinks and figured he would take our order... No... He goes off waiting on other tables. I can over hear issues with every table he is waiting on... After a very long wait he comes back over and finally takes our order. Brings out the chips and very watery salsa. Red flag number four. The salsa is pretty much water with a little salsa in it. We had soup with our order and would think it would have came rather quickly being that its made for the day and just needs to be put in a bowl and served. The place is about 1/3 full. 15 minutes goes by and we had to finally stop him and ask where the soup was.... By this time I had had it. I am not one to complain but I do post reviews. The rest of the evening we spent in Chili's was more the same... Oh... When we finally were able to beg for a drink refill my unsweetened tea came out I knew not to swallow it before tasting it. Yes, it was sweet tea. This was extremely upsetting as I am type 1 diabetic.

Safe to say this is one of the worst Chili's. We will be visiting the area again but not this Chili's. I wouldn't recommend this Chili's to anyone. There are way too many other restaurants...

The wife and I decided to dine at the Chilis restaurant on Exchange Way in Bradenton FL Tuesday evening 11/29/22. We arrived around 8:00PM. We were told by the hostess that our wait would be about 15 minutes. That’s OK I said but I could not understand the wait time when we were the only ones waiting for a table and more than half the tables inside were empty. The explanation was that there were 3 ahead of us but she did not know where they were. OK – I get it. 20 minutes later we were seated but we never noticed the host seating anyone before us. When I quizzed her, she informed us there was a large party of 12 already dining and it would have been too much of a burden on the waitress to seat us sooner. OK – I get it But why tell us now when we could have decided to return some other time? Another 10 minutes go by and a waitress appears. We mention our interest in a menu special offering a soft drink, burger with fries and an appetizer priced lower than ordering just the burger and fries alone. There was no explanation but she assured us the burger and fries were exactly the same if we ordered it separately or with the special. OK – So we decide to go for the special. Next, we learn we cannot order all three items at the same time. Finding that unusual, I ask why. “Because that’s the way I want to do it” was her response. “Who’s the customer here?” I ask? “Does not your pay ultimately depend on customer service and satisfaction”. That upset her and she walked away from our table never to return. I hunted down the manager on duty and informed her of what just happened. She apologized and we left for a great hamburger and fries at 5 -Guys and for less money. Coupled with Chilies recent pricing structure increases and drastic reduction of different food offerings, we decided it will be a very long time before we ever decide to...

Well I did it again I went to Chili's on Nov 17 2023. This is a new review. The margarita was pretty good for sure. Service was decent it was the bartender doing it. My wife's meal was good she said. My hamburger was plain and as I ate toward the center it got pinker but the gross part was I checked the other end of patty and it was damn near raw. So ahain my moral sucked, I was comped the price, will I go back again? Hell no.

My newest review Today 8-26-22 at 5:00 pm we again went to Chili's and it was not pleasant. We waited to be seated way to long since there were only 12 other customers and saw at least 6 servers that all saw us. Got seated by Samantha and got drinks and chips but then she disappeared. After at least 10- 15 minutes some other guy took our menus but not our order. 5 more minutes passed and Sam came took our order. The food came to the table hot my burger was cooked like I wanted it, my wife's chicken sandwich was good. The French fries were horrible and I can honestly say wife didn't eat them that means they sucked. Old grease taste to them. Needless to say we will pass on this Chili's since 2 experience were not good. 😡😡😡😡😡

We got seated quickly and waited on fast. We went in about 4:30 so it wasn't to busy. I got the hamburger and fries. The hamburger came out still alive so had to return it. Got it back and it was fine. The problem is I hate sending food back. The fries were just OK. They could have at least offered me a dessert for my inconvenience but they didn't. The margarita was good and a fair price with the 2 for 25 discount. Will I go back? Yes but if I order meat I'll make sure...
