First of all we come to st Augustine every year. This is the first time we visited this Chili’s
I want to start off by saying I will give out waitresss 5 starship the way Taylor was extremely pleasant and helpful in every way. Keep this in mind when things go wrong out of the servers control.
We placed out margarita drink orders, the bartender actually brought the drinks out due to the servers age. I requested my drying in the traditional margarita glass. They ended up bringing a very small martini type glass.
As the bartender was serving, she set down 2 strawberry margaritas and this monthly special I ordered. Oops my wife only ordered one of the strawberry margaritas and the second must have been a mistake.
The bartender took it with an attitude and slid it to my wife and said that hers! It’s 2 for 1. I was like oh sorry I didn’t know. As far as my drink goes I sent it back because it’s. It what I asked for. The bartender grabbed the drink made a huffing noise rolled her eyes and walked away.
Our waitress seen this and was also upset because this is her table and that attitude from the bartender could affect her tip. She brought the manager out to speak with us. But really you can see that it’s like a routine there.
I ended up not ordering anything to eat because I lost the appetite. Non the less the family ate and we left our waitress a $25 tip regardless of the ignorance from the bartender.
Apparently this is a problem with her as the manager indicated, then get rid of the problem. If I talked to my customers with an attitude like hers I’d no longer be in business.
The food was fine and server was amazing.
However we will not be returning to this store. We have had a couple issues back home but didn’t expect to get that here.

Read moreI've been to the Chilis chain many times and always liked the food and service. This particular restaurant was the exception. My gf ordered a shot of Bacardi with a diet coke on the side. The waitress brought the shot on the rocks which is not what we ordered, so the waitress complained that we didn't specify no ice. (We didn't SPECIFY with ice!) She did bring the correct thing afterwards. Then my gf realized that the Coke was not diet coke as ordered, and the waitress was snappy and told us that 'diet' was what she had brought. We disagreed and she went back and a different waitress brought the diet coke out. It was indeed diet. We sampled both side by side and they were definitely diet and non-diet versions.
My gf ordered the 3 soft taco plate. When it arrived it contained only two tacos. We didn't want to wait another 15 minutes for another taco so we just let it go. The tacos were awful tasting says my gf. They did come with chips and a tiny,tiny cup of salsa.which was hardly a reasonable amount.
As we ate, we overheard yet another waitress complaining that the night staff had failed to clean the tables before locking up the night before, and that SHE wasn't about to clean up their mess, so the tables remained unwashed from the previous shift.
Overall, a dismal experience from what seems to be a restaurant with severe morale/management issues.

Read moreSHORT VERSION: Normally this is one of my favorite places to eat in St Augustine. However not this time!
LONG VERSION: I had just returned from my doctor’s office and I was looking forward to one of the many dishes that I like before my next appointment.
There was no one in line. So I stood at the hostess podium for about 10 minutes waiting for someone to greet me and seat me! But, nobody ever came to the podium. What is really strange was there was hardly anyone in there!
The waitresses walked by in the bar, but, unfortunately no one spoke to me or came for about 10 minutes of me standing there with my cane. (I am partially disabled due to no cartilage in my knees from heavy weight lifting doing squats as a teenage lifeguard many years ago.) I even walked over in the dining area but again no waitress said anything to me!
Finally, I realized that they must have changed management because of the lack of interest in seating me. So, extremely disappointed, I turned around and left shaking my head at the terrible management and lack of basic service.
Do I want to take a chance of the poor management being the same. No, I will wait awhile until they get new management at the very least and prioritizes seating their customers!
I wasted so much time there that I had to go to a fast food drive through to make it to my appointment...
