I feel this is a fair feedback 3 stars is because you could improve more, I’ll rate every plate that I tasted , the focaccia was a little bit sour but I ate it all it was not unpleasant but was sour, bruschetta was ok, prosciutto and cheese table was controversial, because says in the menu has pecorino cheese and I saw something similar to pecorino in color but normally is salty and this one was not , tasted like manchego cheese, parmesano cheese I was hoping was reggiano because the price of the table but I think was grana padana which is not bad,but why this table was controversial, well you used an amazing product like crudo di Parma and added it very cheap ingredients like 2 types of cheddar cheese from the most cheap and unflavored type of cheese, and the salame precut with pepper around also very cheap and nothing to give about flavor of Italy , also instead of used your fresh bread you added it packed toasts to it ,you have amazing Italians products out there. Use it because you charge 28 dollars for a table that the prosciutto di Parma is the only good product on it. I’m not trying to be rude I just saw a place with potencial to explote. Black risotto very rich in flavor, rise aldente which is very brave from the chef cause not everybody like it but I loved it, I also tasted the pomodoro sauce and was not bad but could be much better pasta was not integrate completely with the sauce, so the pasta remained almost full white. Tagliollini was more like linguini but the taste was good, carbonara what to say one of the more controversial dishes in the Italian food and culture , well this one surprised me a lot because was ver very good in flavor the only thing I did not like was that I found some pieces of completely cook eggs but you can fix that other than that amazing the carbonara , rigatoni bolognese was also ok not amazing but was good. Let’s se we didn’t take dessert unfortunately but we took coffee and was not good , as Italian restaurant coffe has to be perfect I asked for a espresso and was watery and with no flavor tasted like americano coffee. But also you can fix that , this is not a review feeling that I know everything this a review about what I was expecting as a regular Italian restaurant customer and chef, you have a gold mine in your hands but you are very close to authentic Italian in pasta flavor that’s why I wrote this review I hope...
Read moreWhere to start? Let's start at the beginning. I was in that restaurant with a couple of friends for dinner for the birthday of one of them. The restaurant caught our attention because it looked quite calm and at the same time fine. We saw quite a bit of the reviews and the instagram page and we were blown away. The thing started when we arrived. The restaurant was empty, there was only the waitress and some other person in the kitchen. The welcome was normal. After sitting down we were talking, when the waitress arrives to serve us water. We don't know if the girl was nervous, but even before serving us the water she dumped it all on the table. Se apologized but never offered to move us to another place even when the place was empty. After that, she disappeared for almost an hour and returned as if nothing had happened, to take our order. After placing the order it took about an hour and a half to bring us the food. Here begins the good part. Not one of all the dishes that were ordered could be eaten. The taste of the food was super unpleasant, some salty and some not well cooked. The pasta was the worst of all, it was hard as if it had been uncovered in the refrigerator for a week. After the bad experience with the food we decided to give dessert a chance trying to save something from dinner. The worst decision of the night was that. The “Panna Cotta” dessert was supposed to be something fresh, but to our surprise they brought it out with everything and the glass from the fridge straight to the table, they didn't even have the decency to even put it on a plate so that it looked like their posts. One piece of advice… don't go to that restaurant if you don't want to feel cheated. I will never go...
Read more5/5 for the decor but 1/5 for execution of the menu and for the food. My first impression was that this was a cute and delightfully looking hole in the wall Italian restaurant that would serve authentic tasting Italian food much like two brothers which isn’t that much further down the street and has been around for a while. After trying to discern and read the menu for about 5-10 minutes we each went with two dishes that looked safe and hard to mess up (pizza margherita and lasagna). We had our 1 year old son with us and were utterly surprised when the server said they had no kids menu’s and nothing to offer kids at all. I’ve never been to a restaurant that doesn’t offfer kids choices like grilled chicken or tenders or something. I then asked if they can just give me a chicken breast for him and she said no as that isn’t part of the menu and they can’t do it... okay. That was the first sign we should’ve just walked out. Also you can’t add chicken or protein to a pasta that doesn’t have it, again something I’ve mever seen before. I continued to give my son bread as he was hungry and I didn’t expect this place to not have something as simple as a chicken breast. We got our food. The pizza was good but the dough tasted almost burnt at the crust. The lasagna was grainy and tasted like it came out of a box or something. I ended up feeding my son some lasagna which he thankfully ate. I will not be returning as I found the food and the downfalls of the menu unappealing and ridiculous. I would’ve rathered gone to the...
