We chose this restaurant due to the reviews 🤷‍♀️. The staff was very sweet, however failed to provide silverware or napkins, was told they didn’t have ginger ale even though it was on the menu, she went and checked and they did have it…we were given suggestions and then told we are out of bacon, I said that is ok we are getting lunch. I ordered the loaded fries without bacon of course they were out, my husband got the cheesesteak and fries. My fries were so limp and greasy I had to ask for a fork to try and cut them. They were thin, overcooked and saturated in grease covered with a little shredded cheese, no ranch (in description on menu) and no bacon as they were out. I was ok with that because I am a vegetarian anyway so not a big deal except!!! I couldn’t eat very much of the fries for the greasy saturation I am not kidding they tasted like pure lard. I didn’t complain as I hate when people do that after they eat part of it! What I am complaining about now is that they didn’t offer a reduction in price for not having bacon on it, no ranch dressing drizzled as advertised and it being pretty obvious that I couldn’t eat them since she offered a box to take home….thanks, but no thanks. I developed a bad stomach ache that has lasted even in to this morning, I will not go in to details, but let’s just say my system is saying “what were you thinking?” In fairness the atmosphere, staff and apparently the breakfast is awesome 🤷‍♀️I wish I had been in the mood for breakfast & mimosas at lunchtime. Sadly this experience cost us over $30.00 for food that I couldn’t finish and ended up sick from. My “loaded “ fries cost me $8.99 without being loaded with anything other than cheese and grease an offer of reduction in price due to being out of bacon would have taken a little of the sting out of pretty terrible food…I will not be returning and wish you the best if you decide to try this establishment.
1/9/2025 I see you commented back completely false, perhaps you have the wrong person. I was there with my husband, not my son as stated above he liked the sub, said it was ok as stated above, but couldn’t eat the very very greasy limp French fries as stated above, we were told you were out of bacon only as stated above yet I was still charged full price even though it had no bacon 🤷‍♀️I got VERY sick the next day. I have no reason to lie and I gave a truthful review, but judging by your argumentative response you really are not interested in truthful reviews but that is ok I didn’t intend to come back due to your lack of customer service…your remark about the fries being made fresh that morning makes me wonder how long they sat around after being cooked to be that...

Read moreConnoly’s Shore Grill was superb. I happily give this restaurant five stars. My husband and I were driving up A1A from Daytona Beach Shores and wanted a good breakfast. We hit the jackpot when we noticed Connoly’s Shore Grill after passing it and turning around. The staff was welcoming, super friendly, and just as efficient. The first impression was a really clean restroom. I didn’t notice how clean the dining area was upon entering because nature was loudly calling. There were a plethora of menu choices for breakfast and lunch. The food was delicious, the best breakfast potatoes I have ever tasted, the pancakes were really light and fluffy, and the sausage links were juicy( not greasy) and flavorful. My husband ordered the build your own omelet made with egg whites, vegetables, and turkey, it was perfect. Our server Ireland was so very polite, efficient, and attentive to our every need. Trish the owner of the restaurant, took time to stop at our table to ensure that we were good and had everything we wanted. She was very personable and offered great conversation. When my husband informed her that we were returning from Daytona Beach Shores celebrating my birthday, she offered me a free cocktail. I enjoyed a really good belinni with my breakfast prepared from their full bar. Connoly’s Shore Grill is our new favorite breakfast spot in St. Augustine Beach. We will definitely return soon and every...
