So 1st off I generally never ever leave bad reviews bc I usually always think “maybe they were having an off day”. But I am not happy with my visit to this establishment today. When I came in, lady told me to have a seat. I said no thank you, I ordered to-go. She yells across restaurant “Sierra”. I look in the direction she’s yelling and I see not 1, not, 2 BUT three servers sitting down at a back table. Halloween decorations are all over the table. No one gets up in a hurry. Finally one server gets up and I’m like “YAY, she’s coming to give me my order. NOPE stops at a gentleman sitting at the counter and precedes to get him a drink. I’m thinking OK but surely after she does that she’ll give me my to go. NOPE she just basically stands there. As this is happening, a gentleman is trying to get the TV to do something he’s yelling back-and-forth to the table where the other employees are sitting at and says he’s getting quite irritated with the tv.. So another server gets up and I think OK she’s coming to give me my to go. NOPE she goes to the guy that’s messing with the TV and they start talking about that then she says have you been helped I’m like no I’m waiting on a to go. Then lo and behold a server comes in from the back door proceeds to walk up, grab my to go and come up to the checkout area…she doesn’t say anything to me, but holds out the bill. I just hand her my debit card. After she runs my card, she comes back over hands me the food and then gives me the receipts and as I’m signing it, she talks to me like I’m 5 miles away and says “I really hope you have a great day” or “thank you for coming in”something like that. I’m just really disappointed. I’ve probably gotten to go from them in total about five times… All the other times they were extremely busy and really nice. Read moreIm reviewing the darrells diner by the publix on 466 in the villages! It has ben average in the past but this time it was real bad! First the waitress that was hovering back by are table in the rear said she wasnt are waitress. She had Thrown a couple utensil wraps on are table. So after nobody actually waited on us for at 10 minutes we asked about taking are order and shetold us in a real snotty way that she wasnt are waitress that are waitress was the one working the counter even though we were the last table in the back. So then we had to get that waitresses attention because the one hovering in the back didnt help at all. At least when we finally got her attention by one of us walking up there and asking to be waited on she was nice from there! So then the food came and everybodies food was luke warm to on the cold side. One person didnt even eat their breakfast but she took it off the tab! My piece of ham was the thickness of maybe 2 pieces of paper put together so obviously it was well done and no flavor so only ate half of it! So needless to say whoevers running darrells diners needs to look into whats going on over at this location. Dont know about other locations and they have a few of them! I know everybodies having trouble rite now hiring and hiring good people but when im treated nasty i gotta say something so the company can try and correct it before theres worse problems, like...
Read more: Just got home from a very unpleasant breakfast at Darrell's on Wedgewood Lane. We arrived at 10:05 and was pointed to go to a table. No one approached us for 15 minutes, no menu, and no acknowlegdment that we were even there. Finally a server came to us and asked what we would like to drink. We requested 2 coffees, 2 waters and 2 menus! 5 minutes later we got our COLD coffee and menus. We placed our orders and were told that it might be a while that the kitchen was backed up. We were ok with that. 35 minutes later we got our food minus an order of white toast. Server said she would be right back with the toast. We started to eat so the food wouldn't get cold. finally the burnt toast came COLD. the butter wouldn't even melt! Basically our food was good. BUT you need to address the appearance of the server. She had a baseball cap backwards on her head with her hair down over her eyes. She was not what you should have to serve the food to your customers. She did alot of walking around and yawning.... We will probably look to go elsewhere for the future. One hour and 15 minutes...
