I need to bring to your attention blatant violations of the Covid 19 mask mandates that are taking place at this location in Clearwater Fl. Just so you are aware, here in Pinellas county we are under a mask mandate whereby all residents MUST wear a mask in public and especially in retail or restaurant settings.
Last week my daughter and I stopped by this location to get breakfast. Upon entering the store we noticed that the cashier was helping a customer that had no mask on. She served the customer fully and we watched him leave with his to go order. When we approached the counter we brought this to her attention and asked why she served him in violation of the mask order. She responded back that she doesn't know what else to do when they come in without one, and that she didn't see a real need for the mask, even though she was wearing one. I was really unhappy about that and should have reported it then, but I just pointed out that she should talk with her manager if she doesn't know what to do.
Today we went back to the same facility and the same cashier was again helping a customer that wasn't wearing a mask, a customer who was 2 deep inline the whole time waiting to be served, But this time the cashier was not wearing her mask correctly either( the mask was under her chin not covering the mouth or nose) AND another staff member in the back areas waiting on drive thru orders wasn't wearing one at all! When it came our turn at the counter I again pointed out that she helped a customer without a mask AND that she wasn't wearing hers correctly, under the chin. She immediately put the mask on and seemed a bit embarrassed. I also inquired why there was another person serving and preparing foods without wearing a mask. She said she didn't know; after apparently overhearing, that person came over and said " i can't breathe in the mask" then turned back and continued to work!!! I was completely appalled at the response she provided to me.
I go in there to get prepared foods and drinks from your facility but cannot believe the way this place is being run during a pandemic. I am bringing this to your attention in hopes that you will do something to help with this matter. My child and I DO NOT FEEL SAFE going to your Dunkin donuts. I can't believe the attitude towards safety they portray while they are working; they are breathing on the very foods and drinks they are serving, whether they show any symptoms or not. They could be Covid positive and spread it to more people who will in turn get sick and possibly die!!!
I couldn't get their names, as neither of them were wearing name badges at the time. BUT if you check your video from say 715 to 750 today you will see this incident i am referring to here in this letter. The cashier is an older woman who has weathered skin and black/grey hair and 60 years of age, give or take. The other one was a younger female staff member.
Just so you are aware, I am also reporting this matter to the county health department for them to take action as well; as we are trying to get rid of this virus, not propagate its existence here in our community. Your company should be ashamed of yourselves for allowing this to happen. Don't you have any field manager to oversee this location? I will NEVER GO TO ANY OF YOUR PLACES EVER AGAIN...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTL;DR: My recent visit to Dunkin' Donuts in Clearwater was dreadful. The employee at the drive-through not only refused to acknowledge a missing donut and damaged item, but also cursed me out.
I recently had a highly disappointing visit to the Dunkin' Donuts on US 19 and Curlew Road in Clearwater. It is essential for me to share my encounter to shed light on the unprofessional behavior and lack of customer care displayed by one of their drive-through workers.
On July 7, 2023, around 11:15 AM, I placed an order at the drive-through. However, upon receiving my order, I discovered that I had only received one donut instead of the two I had ordered and paid for. To make matters worse, the sole donut in the bag was upside down, with the frosting mostly gone. Concerned about the missing item and the damaged donut, I politely brought this to the worker's attention.
To my surprise, instead of acknowledging the mistake or attempting to resolve the issue, the employee vehemently insisted that she had included two donuts in the bag. She initially refused to even look inside the bag, treating me with disrespect. This unprofessional behavior was appalling, but unfortunately, it didn't end there.
To my shock, the employee started cursing at me and using offensive language, including a pejorative term targeting my perceived sexual orientation. It is disheartening to encounter such derogatory language in 2023, especially when a simple solution like replacing the missing donut was available.
What was even more concerning was the lack of response from the other workers present. Despite witnessing the entire incident, they made no effort to intervene or address the situation. Their indifference and disregard for customer satisfaction were disappointing, suggesting that providing quality service and addressing customer grievances were not priorities at this location.
To add to the donut mishap, I discovered additional errors in the rest of my order after leaving the premises. While mistakes happen and an imperfect order is forgivable, the verbal abuse from the employee is unacceptable and demands attention.
The employee's behavior reminded me of a recent incident at another Clearwater Dunkin' Donuts location where a customer was shot in the parking lot after complaining about an incorrect order. While I don't want to jump to conclusions or assume the same level of danger in this situation, the erratic and uncontrolled behavior of the employee raised concerns about the safety of both customers and staff members.
The unprofessional conduct, verbal abuse, and refusal to rectify the mistake, coupled with other errors in my order, indicate a lack of accountability and respect for customers. I strongly advise others to reconsider visiting this particular location, as my experience left me feeling unsafe and resolved never to return. Dunkin' Donuts should take this feedback seriously and address the issues at this location to maintain the trust and satisfaction of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet me start off with customer service... It's terrible. Ever since this location has opened my orders are wrong, the customer service is poor and the whole general experiance is terrible. I can't exaggerate that enough. Today while ordering a simple order of an iced coffee with cream and sweetener, a sweet tea and 2 doughnuts, nothing was up to par. The tea always tastes burnt, or as if no one has cleaned the earns that its in. And for some odd reason today they only had "regular" doughnuts....not quite sure what a "regular" doughnut is, but when I go to DD and ask for a simple double chocolate, or Bavarian cream those are the basics. Why your store is not equipped with the items every other DD is beyond me. But this isn't really about the order.
The employees are very unprofessional, sloppy, and rude. EVERY TIME. Why do I keep going back? Well, the location is convenient for me and I have high hopes everyone that woke up on the right side of the bed that morning and can serve everyone their morning coffee, so that the CUSTOMER can have a good morning. If your not a morning person, don't work morning shifts. It's no wonder corporations laugh at their employees when they want their wages higher. When you work minimum, you get paid minimum. Not the other way around. If I had the name of the employees I would personally call them out in this review.
This location needs to hire some employees with a sense of professionalism even though it's fast food.
Needless to say, I will no longer be coming to this location. I'll drive the extra 3 minutes down the road to the one down the street where I get quality customer service in the morning before I go to work and...
