New place in Carrolwood that’s is finally open and this place did not disappoint !!!
The design and layout is very nice and unique, all glass windows so you have a full view of the kitchen while they prepare your food, the place is super clean with a lot of seating , with the option to order at a kiosk or up front, they give chips and salsa to anyone eating for here which was a unique and nice touch
Greeted upon entry and took some time to look at the menu (they have A LOT of options), staff was super friendly and the manager helped out with some recommendations , decided to go with the birria tacos which is what they are known for and it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING , great tasting broth and really filling tacos with a nice meat to cheese ratio definitely would recommend !!!
Came back again the following week and tried Mexican steak tacos and some churros, they serve them with grilled onions on the side which is a plus and their corn tortillas were really fresh, churros we’re served hot and are a nice dessert
Overall 10/10, authentic Mexican food that is right by my apartment in carrolwood and definitely recommend giving...
Read moreI have been twice since the opening and both times were very enjoyable. The absolute best aspect of this spot is the customer service. I interacted with at least three employees and all were friendly, helpful and having a really great time at their jobs. The first time I had the birria tacos and they were super fresh and the consommé is incredibly rich with flavor. The second time, I had the pastor taco and I have to say, this is probably my favorite. I wish they'd had a little pineapple for a pop of sweetness, but the meat was tender and spiced, but not spicy. I also had the birria ramen which was also full of flavor. Next time, I'd probably have the noodles packed separately for take out. The consommé is so hot that it cooked the noodles just slightly past the ideal texture. The churros were fresh and have a secret pocket of chocolate. Next time, I want to try the elote. A big menu, full of options. Next time (and there will be a next time) I will ask them to put a little salt on the chips. The salsa was tasty, but needed a pop of salt. Great experience and I...
Read moreThe experience was low to say the least. First time here with the hope to have some great food with the family. Should had taken the first sign as the decision to the rest of the event. When order the machine went down and required rebooting, ordered was placed then waited, waited and waited while others who had arrived after us and those who placed electronic orders were served first. At one point, we asked about our order and we’re informed it would come shortly, when asked the reason of the delay it was shared that they had issues with the printing ticketing system which casually enough we were the only ones impacted by it. However, no one had the decency to share with us as the customers so we aren’t left wondering.
Food finally came out. The birria tacos and chicken quesadilla were fine. The burrito bowl was bland, as the chicken had no flavor and the rice was too dry for my taste.
I believe they need more customer service experience. Communication with your customers is key to survive in food service, specially in a food category so popular...
