Disappointing Experience with Unacceptable Food Quality and Poor Management I recently dined at Fancy Sushi & Grill with high expectations, given its reputation. While the initial service from the waitstaff was commendable, the experience took a sharp downturn upon receiving our food. The sushi rolls we ordered had a noticeable off-putting odor, reminiscent of fish that had been improperly stored for days. Unfortunately, I did not detect this until taking a bite, which I promptly had to spit out due to the unmistakably spoiled taste. Concerned, I politely requested to speak with the manager to address the issue. Regrettably, the manager’s response was far from professional. Upon arriving at our table, he displayed an immediate attitude, which set a confrontational tone. I calmly invited him to smell the food to verify my concern, but instead of addressing the issue with care, he abruptly snatched the plate from the table. To my dismay, the check was then presented, still including charges for the two spoiled rolls—one of which was completely untouched. When I questioned the inclusion of these items on the bill, explaining that I should not be charged for inedible food, the manager’s response was dismissive and accusatory, implying that I was trying to get the food “for free.” I clarified that this was not the case, as the uneaten rolls were returned to the kitchen, and offered to pay for the single bite taken from one roll, despite its poor quality. The manager reluctantly removed the charges after nearly ten minutes of unnecessary and uncomfortable debate at our table. This experience was deeply disappointing. The combination of substandard food quality, unprofessional management, and poor customer service reflects poorly on the establishment. While we were happy to pay for the rest of our meal, the handling of this situation was unacceptable. I strongly urge potential diners to exercise caution when considering Fancy Sushi & Grill, as this experience fell far short of basic expectations for a reputable...

Food was ok, but the ginger dressing was looked like the yellow out of a 3 months old diaper...not enticing. I tried it anyway & ended up dripping a little on my clothes. Washed it twice, with a soaking of detergent in between & it still stained. UG.

Oh, & they offered an appetizer that comes with the meals when we were almost done eating our main meal. I didn't know they gave one with the meal so it was a nice surprize, but my sister said they always do during dinner. She wasn't sure at lunch. So, what, were they deciding if they wanted to give us one or not the whole time we were eating our meal?

Back to the restaurant. I went in that day taking family to lunch (since they said it was really good the times they went 4 dinner), toddlers included. The restaurant had 2 other people at the time at 1 table, so there were plenty of tables in an open space.

They sat us at a small booth in a corner where they stack the hi-chairs & the floor was really dirty there. One of the people in my group was on the larger size & obviously would have been more comfortable at a table, not squeezing into a small booth. Whomever is seating people should think about that when they decide where to seat people. ESPECIALLY in the case where the whole restaurant was pretty much empty. Why seat us where it is a tight squeeze for my guests & dirty? Was it cause we had two toddlers with us? Why? It was not really considerate.

The server was over 3/4 times I believe: at taking the order, serving the meals, checking once how things were/to refill drinks; and for taking payment.

Overall, I was not impressed about anything there, but the food was ok. So for benefit of the doubt I didn't hold it against the server & she got a decent tip. As far as would I go back again, not by my pick. I would rather go to Sushi X in...

Have ordered from here a few times and the food is pretty good, but pricey. Service not so much, did a to go order using their options for online ordering… noticed it wasn’t confirmed on google or Door dash (just said order sent). I called, lady at front is very nice. Gets manger, manager gets on phone and just says hello. I explain my order he said “don’t have it” I asked if I needed to drive up to show receipt - he said yes. He didn’t care to try and help. I drove all the way up there, showed my receipt and my bank statement, said he doesn’t have it. You need to call Door dash, I said is there nothing you can do? He said no, need to call them. I said I still want to order and he said call door dash……. You would think that they would offer to make the order so I can pay them directly and get my money back from door dash but no, they just let me leave and told me to call door dash. They weren’t busy and could’ve given me the option to order directly but they just kept telling me to go to door dash because they didn’t have the order. Soo I went down the street to another place. $70 order gone, unfortunate cause I was...

I have been to this place twice now and asked them every time if my Volcano roll should be baked on top. As you can see in the picture, there's no way in hell, this thing is baked, and there's no Eel sauce on top. To include, I asked for a spicy tuna roll with no crunch. They give me a tuna roll with chunks of tuna. I've never seen such a thing. Usually a spicy tuna roll is all mashed up together and it's not very appealing to eat. I will not be going to this place ever again. I've tried to give them another chance but they failed again. It was my mistake not to check it before I.Left as I ordered when I got there and came back and picked it up. I'm a business owner myself, and I take pride in Having satisfied customers and I don't make it a point to lie to them if they ask me how a a certain item is made and then give it to them and it's not made as I stated. Don't waste your time and money with this place. There's a lot better sushi places in the area. My suggestion is going to philip sushi, which is not far from this sushi place and is much much better and you don't get lied to. Good luck.....

Stopped here for lunch with my wife to try it out. Promptly seated and were given a free fried krab roll as a starter which was pretty good. We ordered the agedashi tofu which was served piping hot with a flavorful dipping sauce. We both opted for the lunch Maki roll special with 3 rolls which was a great deal and came with soup and a salad. The clear soup was actually very flavorful and the salad was cold and refreshing. My rolls were the spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and yellowtail and were all very good. I also ordered two pieces of masago sushi, one regular and another spicy and the spicy one definitely had a punch but both were delicious. My wife had salmon skin, spicy salmon and escolar which were also good but the salmon skin was missing the eel sauce we are accustomed to having at other sushi restaurants. Overall a good value and worth a visit, not sure it will replace my favorite but if I want something close I'd probably come back or order from here.
