I recently visited FireHouse at around 7:16 PM on 07/11/2023 and was extremely disappointed with the experience. Not only did it take them an unusually long time to prepare a simple sandwich, but they also got my order wrong despite specifically requesting no onions. Additionally, the unprofessional behavior of what I assume to be the manager and his boyfriend was highly disturbing.
To begin with, the restaurant was practically empty when I arrived, yet it took them a staggering 10 minutes to create a single sandwich. This seemed quite unreasonable considering the lack of other customers to attend to. The slow service left me feeling frustrated and impatient, as I had expected a more efficient process given the circumstances.
Furthermore, what bothered me even more was the fact that my order was prepared incorrectly. I clearly emphasized that I did not want onions on my sandwich, but when it was finally handed to me, it was filled with onions. It is disappointing to receive a meal that does not meet the specifications given, especially when it involves such a basic request. Attention to detail is crucial in any food establishment, and this oversight was unacceptable.
Adding to my frustration, there was a dispute between a staff member, who I believe was the manager, and his boyfriend at the register. Instead of addressing customer needs and concerns, they engaged in a distracting argument about an Apple Watch. The boyfriend's behavior was unprofessional as he walked and sang throughout the store, clearly not prioritizing his responsibilities. This lack of professionalism and disregard for customer service greatly tarnished the overall experience.
Overall, my visit to FireHouse left me deeply dissatisfied. The combination of slow service, an incorrectly prepared order, and the unprofessional behavior of the staff created a negative impression. I hope that FireHouse takes this feedback seriously and takes the necessary steps to improve their service and ensure that customers' orders are prepared accurately. In the future, I would expect a higher level of professionalism and attention to detail from a restaurant that prides itself on quality service.

They included napkins, utensils, our drinks and sides that we chose in our combo meals. The accuracy was spot on. Quick, accurate, fresh and hot. They made us smile at the fact that they're still on point, even through this difficult time. We were highly impressed by the staff, the food quality and accuracy at this location.
UPDATE: Over the years, I've been to other Firehouse locations often. In Melbourne, Miami, Clermont, and Winter Garden (all in Florida). Out of all the Firehouse Subs, this Hunters Creek location has impressed me THE MOST. This is the THIRD time we have ordered from the app. I've written in the notes the kind of soft drink, specific chips I'd like, and sauce to put on the side. It's not a menu option to be this specific, but they saw the comments and honored our EXACT requests. The order was correct, ALL THREE TIMES, WITH THE SPECIAL REQUESTS. AND they brought it out to the curb right as I pulled up everytime! I didn't have to call or anything. Different vehicles too. The worker was always wearing a mask and super friendly. I wish I had more cash so I could give a more generous tip. These workers are the best!! We appreciate thier care for the community and making some of the most clean and delicious...

The individuals working there are incredibly kind and make it a point to learn who you are, welcome you, speak to you by name, and overall go the extra mile in regards to customer service. I’m not a very talkative person when going about my business, but even with me they always interact on a very personal and familiar level and make remarks such as “It’s nice to see you again! Come back soon! It’s been a while! What are you having this time?,” ect., ect. I don’t experience that often. Also, their food quality is very high; I’ve been going to this location with some regularity, and upon ordering the same sub at another location recently the taste and quality was nowhere near the same!
