DO NOT GO HERE - BEWARE - The Vintage Speakeasy automatically adds 20% gratuity to your check which is calculated including the sales tax, I do not tip on tax, this gratuity is charged without informing patrons before ordering. The 20% gratuity for parties of 1 or more is not listed on the menu, posted by the door or informed by the waiter before ordering. It is only mentioned after you ask for the bill to pay, which is very disingenuous at that point. Also, the way the menu is designed, one side has cocktails listed with specific prices for each one and on the other side there are weekly themes and in separate columns different cocktails listed under a $10 header that a normal person would think are priced that way since they are all different from the ones listed on the other side. Beware, these are only $10 on certain nights and not every night, very deceiving. The inside looks nice but when we walked in there was only one other couple in the entire place. If Vintage continues deceive people and overcharge without consent, I can see why the place was empty. I would stay away from this speakeasy and go somewhere else that is upfront and transparent with their pricing.

The Vintage speakeasy was a nice place. The cocktails were ok, the food was good and the service was nothing special. We ordered food and it was brought without napkins or utensils to grab the melted Brie. We asked the server and she brought them when we were done. When we asked for the check , she provided that card machine so we could add more tip , we noticed that there was a 20% tip added already to the check and when we asked she answered yes. We are used to go out and tip servers well, but we don't like the fact that the tip was imposed .This practice is wrong, servers should earn the tip otherwise customers will be at risk of receiving a mediocre service because they already have that 20% whether they provide good service or not. The employees were not welcoming and the service was not worth 20% gratuity.

We had seen this on IG and decided to check it out after dinner for my BIL's birthday. It is a nice venue with a bar area and seating close to the music section. It is open and nicely decorated. The drinks are on the pricey side but what isn't now a days? Service is good but the servers sometimes dissappear from sight, making it hard to locate. Also, the timing from getting your order in to actually getting your drink is pretty long. Be prepared to wait. My BIL liked his Frank Sinatra drink and he got the Charles Champlin, which is the bartenders drink of choice for the night. It has good ambiance and we enjoyed the sax player, wish it was a bit closer.

Arrived at 3:30pm on Tuesday. We wanted to squeeze in this "experience" while in the area. They were closed even though their website showed they opened at 3pm. Emailed them and got a fast response apologizing for the confusion and letting us know new hours are 5pm. We hung out in the area and returned then.

Upon arrival, they were still opening up so we waited a few minutes. When we asked if they needed the "you wont be let in without it" password, we were informed that is only on Thursday, Friday and Saturday...so no.

We were asked if we wanted to sit in the couch/seating area. We did. The decor is wonderful. It would have been more "speakeasy-ish" if they didn't have the front door propped open with sunlight pouring in. Also, the loud hip-hop/rap blasting kind of took away from the vibe we thought we were there for.

We ordered drinks. She enjoyed her Paper Plane. My Old Fashioned tasted like watered-down simple syrup. I'm not sure there was actually any bourbon in it.

Since this was not the experience we were promised, we left after only one drink.

On the way out, there was someone with a baseball cap and sports jersey sitting at the bar...so much for "strict dress code". So glad I dressed nice and got to sweat my arse off for this.

The place has potential. I understand that it was a Tuesday afternoon but don't advertise something you are not. If it's only a "speakeasy" on certain days, say so. We would have planned our visit accordingly. If I wanted to go to a bar, I would have gone elsewhere and saved time and money (and probably got a...

Cute place my fiancé and I decided to go to after a gatsby themed party we went to. I usually never review when the service is poor because I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for 4 years and although I’ve transitioned out of it I understand how sometimes we can’t give our best service. But damn our bartender straight up wasn’t prioritizing us equally as the other guests. You could tell he gave 0 cares! Lol The place was pretty slow and not many people there on a rainy Saturday night. There were 4 ppl besides us sat at the bar and he didn’t come and ask for our order. Some more thee guy introduced himself to me and gave me a menu while my fiancé was in the restroom and that was it… After that I never saw him again and after 10 mins we flagged a diff bartender down and asked him if we could order. He put in our order and never talked to us again until 15 mins later when he brought us our drinks. I’m saying there were 2 other ppl at this time at the bar. Lol he was chatting it up and serving them and ignoring us. After getting our drinks another 20 mins later we still hadn’t gotten our flatbread so we cancelled it, paid he said there was an auto gratuity of 20% (never saw that on the menu) and we left. Lol worst service I’ve received at a “fancy” bar tbh. I’m sorry but damn lol it was our bday weekend too so we were excited.. It was some skinny guy with a hat on who served us. I didn’t...

We were willing to give this place another try even after seeing our bill. Pretty pricey. I took the receipt home to notice there was several discrepancy.

.... I don't like deceitfulness.

My husband (guest #2 on the bill) wanted to order a tequila drink from the menu with banana liquor. We picked that because it had mijenta reposado. The bartender informed us they no longer carry mijenta because they cannot get the bottle for $35 it's now $70. We said we can have another tequila then. Bartender did not inform us that in addition of paying for the upcharge of Komo, there is a custom cocktail charge. How is it my fault your advertising something you no longer carry. In addition, my husband only had one of the drink and then started having tequila sodas and asked with reposado (since he said "I'll switch it up to what my wife's having). Lastly, my husband had 1 banana tequila drink and 2 tequila soda. Not a total of 4 custom drinks.

Myself (guest #1 on the drink) I only had 3 tequila soda and I asked for it to be reposado, yet I got charged for 1- extra anejo, 2- anejo christalino.

So getting charged extra drinks and at higher level we did not get and getting charged for the...
