5 stars – The best key lime pie I’ve ever had!

I can’t say enough good things about Flo’s Bakery—especially their key lime pie. I’d heard a few locals mention it, so I finally stopped by while in Sarasota, and wow… it completely lived up to the hype.

The pie is the perfect balance of tart and sweet, with a super creamy filling and a buttery graham cracker crust that’s just the right amount of crisp. You can tell it’s made from scratch with real key lime juice—none of that artificial stuff. I’ve had key lime pie all over Florida, and this one is hands-down the best.

I also picked up a few mini pies to take home, and they didn’t even make it through the day—my family devoured them. The staff was really friendly and even gave me a tip to try their frozen key lime pie during the summer (which I definitely will next time).

If you’re a key lime pie fan—or even if you’re not—do yourself a favor and try it. Flo’s is a little gem, and this pie alone is...

Hands down, the best key lime pie in the state! My SWFL family has been going to the Keys at least once a year for the past 40 years & we've tried countless different key lime pies from Sarasota to Key West in search of the best one. There are some great pies in the Keys, but still none of them top Flo's in Sarasota. Her pies are just next level! We love it so much that we buy a key lime pie from Flo's and take it to the keys every year 😂 The whole family looks forward to it. Every layer of this pie is so good on its own - the key limey whipped cream, the perfectly sweet/tart filling, & the homemade graham cracker crust - but all together, it's to die for. I would buy barrels of each individual layer if I could, and just die happy in a key lime coma. It really is the best pie in the state, plus there are a ton of other pies & truffles & desserts she offers. I highly recommend...

I had read all of the reviews about how incredible the key lime pie from this place was so I picked one up today and had a slice as soon as I got home. I'm not sure if it's the absolute best I have ever tasted, but if not it is not very far off!

The most important thing to me, what makes a key lime pie great vs just good is the crust, and Flo's has an excellent one. I still maintain that the best crust I have ever had on a key lime pie was when they used to have it at Longhorn Steakhouse.

Unfortunately they removed it from their menu and I have not found any crust like that since, so in the absence of Longhorn's which is no longer offered, I can definitely rate this one as the best key lime pie ever. And even though I liked the crust better from LH, Flos actual pie, the texture and flavor is far superior! Do yourself a favor and it out...you will be glad...
