So the "Covid 15" hit me in the right direction! I had been training sporadically with my wife prior to Covid (2-3x/month). Once my travel stopped and the early Covid restrictions were lifted, I got pretty committed to twice/week.
The workouts have been hard but Dario makes it a fun and fast hour. In the past six months, i have lost 15 pounds (no longer have the male equivalent of a muffin top) and my body fat is down ~5 % (based on what my scale calculates). Most impressive is that I have the start of a six pack coming back and have yet to suffer that dreaded "day after the workout" stiffness. Dario challenges me with weights that are plenty to see results and feel that "little tightness" than comes with a tough workout, but never have that "it hurts to move my arms" issue.
The SRQ studio has been very careful in managing the Covid challenge and keeps their appointments limited so that there is not a crowd. All the trainers respect their client's wishes for masks, are diligent in their cleaning protocols and are a fun group! My morning workouts have an air of a social outing where the other clients that are regular at the same time and their trainers all share stories, laughs and good natured ribbing to encourage all.

Read moreThese guys are great! Helping my 89 year old father in law stay in shape! Now he has 2 girlfriends, and goes out all the time! Going in as a guest allows me to see the care they take in training each individual.
This is not a one size fits all type of place. I saw middle aged matrons, 30 something's, and 60+ers like myself being helped and challenged by the staff. Each client is evaluated by the trainer, and helped to build a regimen that fits them.
I regularly go to a gym in my home area, and have a personal trainer who helps me challenge myself. These guys are better, more innovative and personable, gosh darn it!
Now, this isn't a big meet and greet social Mecca, it's a place where people come to develop skills that they missed or forgot from Junior high. I'm not happy about paying somebody to help me rediscover those skills. But if you need to, this is the place to do it.
Bad knee, shoulder, whatever, these guys help you work through it. A positive review.

Read moreI’ve had memberships at several area gyms but nothing compares with the personal attention and professional training with Dario. Without a doubt the gym and the equipment are extremely clean and top notch. I appreciate the fact that There is a limited number of people working out at the same time so less distractions. The focus is on me and Dario continues to push me a little more each workout and I certainly can see the improvements. I would highly recommend anyone to reach out to Dario or Jenn for a personal introduction. We laugh, we joke and we take our workouts serious. BTW most folks hate Monday mornings, I love them as I get to start my day and week off right, seeing my fave trainers, Dario, Jen and Winston at SRQ Health and Fitness, of course my other friend, Betty too....Happy...
