Vintage Toy World — Local services in Siesta Key

Just an incredible store for many reasons. Super friendly knowledgable owner who gives you time and space to browse without bugging you but is happy to talk if you feel chatty and want to geek out over things with someone. First thing you notice when you enter and browse is the amazing curation and merchandizing. Its packed with stuff but nowhere does it feel cluttered. Next best thing is prices, they are good. I am exhausted browsing stores of vintage toys where things are overpriced by like double or triple. I want to support small businesses, i know they have to pay rent and its hard work but also, I am gonna use EBAY if it's such a price difference. This store everything is completed with such obvious care and attention to detail and the variance in price between the internet and in-store is very close, so maybe i can find a steal a few bucks under whats online or if its slightly higher than the internet i see what i'm getting and its totally worth paying more. There is so much stuff neatly organized in areas like Star Wars, thundercats, MOTU, TMNT (playmates, neca, super7, etc) Transformers, GI Joe, Dragon Ball Z and Star Trek, Marvel, DC, Hot Wheels, Barbie, Diecast, Jurassic Park. It's a mix of old and new stuff, a few eccentric rad stuff too... i saw some akira, berserk, MHA sculptures, that sort of thing along with some vintage 80s/90s things like swampthing, robo cop or pirates of darkwater. There are also comics! Overall its like a toy museum where you can buy stuff... it doesn't...

Amazing customer service and Awesome Selection. I was on vacation with my family and I looked up any local collector stores in the area. Just so happened, this spot shows up. There was maybe close to an hour left until the shop closed and it wouldn’t be open the day after and we were leaving to head back home that day. We arrive and see this wonderland of figures, ones I never thought I would get the pleasure of seeing in person, I’m a big Jurassic Park fan and love collecting from that line so I was very stoked to see his variety of Jurassic stuff. My parents sparked conversation with the owner and I had a lovely conversation with him about Jurassic. Midway through the conversation, he pulled out a box of Kenner Jurassic Park toys and had me pleasantly surprised to see he had the Young Trex from series 2 of the Kenner line, complete with capture gear and skin patch. It took myself a bit of contemplation and Decided to bite the bullet and purchase it. I wish there were more shops like this back home with people like the owner, who was very friendly and a joy to talk to. The next time I’m in Sarasota, this spot will always be my go-to for...

My Brother and I saw this awesome vintage toy store as we were heading to the cigar bar store next door. As we walked up to the Vintage Toy store and peering into the door, we saw that they were closed on Mondays (of course the day we would stop by) but luckily the owner (Mr. Anthony Yapchanyk) who was restocking items on his counter saw us, and told us to wait a second. Really great and awesome guy by the way. He came to the door and unlocked it and told us to come in and check his store out even though he was closed on Monday's. As he let us in, and was showing us a lot of great vintage toys, from all the Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel, to Transformers. Mr. Anthony is very knowledgeable with all his items. My brother purchased several items from him. Mr. Anthony is a really cool down to earth guy especially letting us in and checking out his store on the day that he was closed. I would definitely come back and recommend this Vintage Toy World store to all my friends, family and co-workers. I wish Mr. Anthony Yapchanyk and his business much success now and in the future. ...
