I’ve been going to Glory Days since I moved to the Tampa Bay Area in 2020. The food is good, however the staff or speed of service varies between locations.
In short, my average rating for this location has to do with the following:
1- As mentioned before, the food and drinks are good despite taking long sometimes to be brought to the table. So if you’re not in a rush or in a time crunch, by all means dine in. 2- Due to the slow service experienced on 7/13/25 I emailed what I thought was the Brandon restaurant, and come to found out on 7/15/25 it was the corporate email…I share this because it was brought to my attention by one of the restaurants manager who said that I would be taken care of upon returning to this location (in addition to being refunded for the lunch we had that day). I appreciate that I was contacted by the manager promptly in efforts of making things right. What I personally don’t think is right is for a returning and loyal customer to feel bad or guilted for contacting the email address that is provided at the front of the store on a business card, and insinuate a Google review is better over the email to address any areas for improvement. (For background, I wrote an email on 7/13 because the service took over 2 hours and the restaurant was not busy. I was contacted by the manager within the same day of that visit to make things right, and was asked to return to be taken care of…to which I asked what does that mean or entail, the manager just said to mention any of the managers names at this location to be taken care of and left it like that, which I was still uncertain on what that meant). 3- After my visit on 7/13, I returned on 7/15 since I didn’t want to wait too long from my last conversation with the manager/s. Getting taken care of consists of 4 coupons for a future visit that expires before the month ends, and could only be used if you purchase an entree (specials excluded). Honestly, I’m still confused on whether I misunderstood what being taken care of means in the hospitality industry because even after the coupons were issued to us, the manager on shift said “in addition, today will be taken care of”, but then we paid the bill and the manager did not made any adjustments to the bill related to “being taken care of”…though the waitress claimed that discounts were applied to the bill to be “taken care of”…but upon checking the applied discounts were due to my rewards account and the military discount (I had a $10 rewards that I had earned/accrued with my reward points prior to this visit that no longer shows on my account, and usually have a military discount applied per entree for each ID holder). For clarification, I asked the waitress about this and she reassured she spoke with the manager and that she didn’t think my $10 reward was redeemed. I know it may seem like I’m being fussy at this point, but I’m just not clear on what getting taken care of meant in this case and will stick to other Glory Day locations for future.
This is my genuine yet confused take on this Glory...
Read moreI’m not the one to ever write reviews but I just feel like this needs to be addressed. I love coming here the food is great, the drinks are spirited and the service is top notch. I was in not too long ago with my wife sitting in a booth when she pointed out a male server who seemed to be getting harassed. I told my wife it’s pretty much the restaurant industry and that the lady was just flirting with him. But as I looked closer I seen what my wife was talking about. This server was trying his best to keep distance from the lady, while still being very polite and I realized why he was trying to keep distance. She not only tried grabbing his private parts but also just kept pulling him near her. The table she was sitting at, the other ladies were just laughing the whole time because I guess they just know how she is. But this server did everything he could to keep the table happy probably so he wouldn’t get in trouble by management or have a bad review on him but she not only tried to touch him, she even went as far as dropping her credit card on the ground where the server still being very polite tried to pick it up for her. But when he went to pick up the card she actually lifted up her dress to try to expose herself to him. He immediately gave her her card back and went to the back (probably to avoid any other harassment). Then once he cashed the table out she still wouldn’t stop. She kept asking him to go outside with her, saying very explicit things to him and he was just dropping off everyone cards and tabs to them when he tried to walk away but then she called him back over to the table and I can see the server force a smile on his face and asked her if anything was wrong. She then proceeded to ask him if he wanted to see a picture of her, when the server said that he had to help the bar and still even apologized to her that he had to leave and proceeded to the bar. Now I’m not one to go into details about things but my wife felt so bad for the server and so did the MANY other tables around us who all seen the same thing. Everyone was just shocked because of this male server literally getting harassed to the point he kept trying to walk away but still do his job. I love this place and this won’t stop me from going, it’s just sad to see someone go through so much harassment just to keep customers happy. Management needs to understand it’s just not the female servers you have to worry about but the male servers as well. I wish him the best he’s great at his job and to keep his cool during all of that. I feel bad for the young man because right after all that he left and I didn’t...
Read moreLocated in the heart of Brandon, Florida, Glory Days promises a dining experience filled with hearty American classics. My visit began with an appetizer of fried pickles served with a zesty horseradish sauce—a crunchy, tangy delight that set a promising tone for the meal to come. For the main course, I opted for their renowned smoked wings coated in Glory sauce, accompanied by a side of crispy fries. The wings were perfectly smoked, with a robust flavor that blended beautifully with the tangy sweetness of the sauce. The fries were well-seasoned, providing a satisfying crunch with each bite.My girlfriend chose the haddock fish fry, which came with fries and slaw. The fish was fresh and cooked to perfection, making for a comforting and satisfying meal. The true star of our dining experience, however, was the butter cake dessert. Described accurately as "out of this world," this decadent treat was moist, rich, and utterly irresistible. Each forkful was a heavenly indulgence that left us craving more. In terms of service, while the staff themselves were friendly and accommodating, the restaurant appeared to be understaffed during our visit. This resulted in noticeable delays and a section of the restaurant that was less tidy than expected, with uncollected dishes and dirty tables. Despite these challenges, our server was exceptional, ensuring that our dining experience remained enjoyable. Glory Days boasts a spacious interior, making it suitable for gatherings of various sizes, whether intimate dinners or larger celebrations. The ambiance is casual and inviting, perfect for unwinding with friends or family. Overall, our experience at Glory Days was positive, thanks to standout dishes like the smoked wings and the unforgettable butter cake. While service could be improved by addressing staffing issues, the dedication of the staff and the quality of the food left us pleased overall. We eagerly anticipate returning for another taste of that incredible butter...
