Great Wall Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Florida

This is a little local gem in Tavernier. Located right next to the big Winn-Dixie, this restaurant has great lunch specials. The portions are huge, the prices are cheap, the service is stellar, and the food is decent to good. It's our go-to​ for work lunches where there's a bit of something for everyone.

I like the lo mein (noodles), kung pao chicken, vegetable platter, sesame chicken lunch specials. All are enough to feed a person for 2-3 meals and cost under $10. The potstickers are also delicious as are the crab rangoon. The hot & sour soup is awesome. Some of the food is bland, but you can soy sauce or salt that up yourself. It's not going to be the best Chinese food you've ever had, but for the keys (where there are not that many ethnic restaurants other than cuban), and for how affordable it is, it's a winner.

Ordered Dinner last night and it was horrible the general Tao's was burnt, and mummified, you could not even chew it, the egg roll, fried wonton, and Krab Rangoon was also burnt and not edible, the egg drop soup had a slimy texture to it as well. They charge you a $3.00 gas charge without even telling you and when we called them to tell them about the horrible meal we got no where, this cost us $40.00 of hard earned money that was wasted. Twice in a row I’ve ordered delivery and gotten my food an hour late. I’m now regrettably trying again. I’ve placed the order 2 hours ago now and no sign of a delivery driver. No call from the restaurant for an update. I’ve called them 13 times now (not an exaggeration) with no answer. I’ve worked in the service industry and delivered food (worked several years in each) so I’m usually pretty forgiving. But this crosses the line.
