J-Dao Sushi Thai — Restaurant in Florida

For Me... J-DAO Sushi Thai Restaurant... Has Spirit, Is Bright and appealing atmosphere, have a kind and respectful Staff, that greet you as you walk in, from Chef to Server, with exuberance and graciousness. This, noticed and apparent well before Covid-19 settled in... Which so saddens Me to say and see small businesses, have replaced with desperation instead which is completely understandable with today's trevasties...but as humans, when We see worry, stress, fret and concern... In Our fellowmen's eyes... We all feel it as well, and hard to ignore, Let Me Please say, to All, Our ❤️ Hearts go out to You... From All of Us and To, All of us, and ask everyone to be kind and considerate to each other during these trying times and give virtual hugs and hand hearts 💕and pray that all of this, will soon be just a distant memory... ...So now to start again on a Happier note 🎶... I do believe that when you are At, Or picking up, your meals at J-DAO Sushi Thai... That You will as feel as I... A sparkle, A lightness about the place, that to Me, reflects with-in Their food, A crispy tasty, freshness that tingles and brightens your pallet and serving nice plumpy portions while paying attention in great detail to showcase their quality delicacies, which in then readys your taste buds for delicious fun and Their Thai-dye presentation of colors to please your eyes and mind!! And Bam! An instant, Smile spreads accross your face!! Which of course, we have all come to realize only We can feel, because A mandatory Mask being worn, (hint-hint) and required these days, is making it hard for us to see these Days... But Did you also realize as People... We have Amazingly overcome and Now are able to see Smiles in a whole New and different way, Right?... Evolving and changing as we always do We now see A Smile, in Puffy cheeks and Squinting eyes instead!! But a SMILE 😁 none the less!! So, Covid-19, in your face 😷... 'U ken tek ur jobs,' 'U ken tek ur hugs,' But, Uwill never 'tek ur Smiles!!!' Lol... And as I have seen and you will too, at J-DAO Sushi Thai's Restaurant, and whether you dine-in or take-out your meals... You will feel their exuberance exude and You too will begin to feel it also... So if you are feeling a little down in the mouth... and need to add A in Pep to your step!! I can honestly say, I Highly recommend you give J-DAO Sushi Thai, A Try!! I assure you, it is delicious! With a vast menu, and many different options! You will be Pleased too!! 😁

J-DAO's Sushi, in the Winn Dixie plaza in Tavernier, gives you a fine dining experiance and atmosphere, with an upscale variety menu aimed to please, even the pickiest of eaters, can also boast, amazingly fair prices to boot, giving you the opportunity to impress, a Date or lmportant Client, all with out breaking your wallet... ALL I CAN SAY IS... "What are You Waiting for?" An Invitation?!!! Well Then, get out those Chop-Sticks, because YOUR INVITED!!! Trust Me you will Not be disappointed!!! This is the third time J-Dao has had problems getting my takeout order correct. Looking through the reviews - it appears to be a common theme. J-Dao’s takeout process is broken.

Order not ready at stated time (10 min late) and incorrect. I let it slide as it was a busy Sat night.

Order not ready on time and was told it would take an additional 20 min. Asked to speak to a manager... he couldn’t find the time in 20 min to talk to me. I asked no fewer than 3 times to speak to him. He went and hid in the kitchen (I could see the person identified as the manager standing in the grill area and joking). I ended up waiting 30 min for the order. When I called the next day (during business hours) I was told the manager wasn’t there (what?!?!?). Left a message... no return call. Called again the next day... same story. Left a message... no return call.

(today). Decided to give J-Dao one more chance. Called to order when leaving Homestead, said I’d be there in 45 min and was told it would be ready. By the time I got there - an hour after I called - the food wasn’t ready... and I could not get an answer how much longer it would take. Waited an additional 10 min for the food. Order was incorrect - I received chicken vs beef curry.

The food tastes great but J-Dao makes it hard to order takeout. Reading the review below - it sounds like the manager is no longer hiding from customers and now engages folks via shouting matches.

It’s a shame that a place that makes such tasty Thai food has such poor business practices. I would have preferred to deal with the matter privately but based on the J-Dao management - not sure that is an option.

Stay away!!! Will get food poisoning!!!!

I would give this repulsive restaurant a negative 5 stars if they had the option. Definitely does not deserve 1 star. If you enjoy feeling deathly Ill, eat here.

My daughter went to this restaurant last evening for an early dinner. What a huge mistake!! She ordered a Thai tea, a garden salad with peanut dressing, and a sunrise roll for dinner. After dinner she ordered Thai doughnuts, and while eating them she started feeling nauseous. She paid her bill and went to the nearby grocery store. Upon arrival she started vomiting and felt horribly sick. She grabbed a couple things and drove home a mile and a half away. She called me to advise as I was out for dinner with my husband. I asked what she ate so that I could call the restaurant and advise what she ate so that they could pull that food and not get other customers in the community sick. Instead, the man that answered the phone heard what happened and then asked me what I need. I repeated what happened to my daughter and he said "no, other customers eat the same thing and do not get sick and he hung the phone up on me. Now, I simply said she had sushi and a salad and he did not care to ask what sushi roll, salad or anything else. Just in essence called me a liar and rudely hung up on me. Unbelievable. I was not calling for the purpose of a refund, but wanted to prevent others from getting sick.

Never ever eat at this disgusting place!!!

By far the best Thai and Sushi restaurant is Num Thai!! The food is always fresh, absolutely delicious, very affordable and the servers are very kind and friendly. Far cry from this miserable food poisoning...
