We started our Saturday with some business downtown Pensacola and since my FIL (Father-in-law) who was visiting from India was with us we wanted to make sure he had some food with his medication. We really wanted to try out Indian grill and drove out to their old location where we were advised that they had changed locations. we had ordered food and we rushed to pick it up before their closing time. We made it to the restaurant at 2.25 pm. We decided since we had time we might as well dine in but the reaction we got when walking through the door was of a rude loud Indian lady screaming that Dining was closed and kitchen was closed. Mind you it wasn't even 2.30 pm yet and there were 3 customers dining in the restaurant. we ignored the lady at the register and paid for the food. We then asked her politely if we could simply sit at the table and eat our food.. She repeated that kitchen was closed, I advised her that we already had our food only wanted to make sure my FIL was comfortable while eating instead of eating in the car. We still had 30 minutes before they closed but then the owner came over and repeated that they were not taking new customers. we advised we already paid for the food order and not interested in ordering anything else and if we could only eat our food at the table. He said they were closed. LOL i said that they closed at 3.00 pm on their restaurant door and they had customers still dining. At this point he asked my husband whether or not he wanted the food? Which we had paid for mind you . the owner was rude and almost grabbed the food from my husband which we had already paid for. My husband told him as such and the owner then said he will refund us the money.he even offered us a 10% discount. We refused since I knew my FIL was hungry and asked the owner the difference in letting us eat at the table since he still had diners. He said that they were closed and it still wasn't 3 pm. at this point one of his diners, a white lady came to the register and asked for some pudding to be served. He obliged and we still pointed out to him that he was discriminating since it wasn't 3 pm and he could refuse to close the restaurant before time since it still wasn't 3 pm at this moment I was beyond frustrated and we decided to leave. we will never ever go to that restaurant even if it was free of charge. They are rude, uncouth and they lost repeat customers and NO THANK YOU to Indian Grill- they don't know the meaning of service and they shouldn't be in the...
Read moreTitle: Disappointing Experience at Indian Grill in Pensacola
Review:
During my recent visit to Indian Grill in Pensacola, I had an underwhelming experience that left me unable to recommend the restaurant to others wholeheartedly. While I strive to provide honest and neutral feedback, it is important to highlight the aspects that fell short of expectations, namely the exorbitant prices and lackluster customer service.
First and foremost, the pricing at Indian Grill is considerably high compared to similar establishments in the area. While I understand that quality comes at a cost, the prices here were outrageous, especially considering the portion sizes. It left me feeling like I didn't receive fair value for the money I spent on my meal. For those seeking an affordable dining experience, Indian Grill may not be the most suitable choice.
Furthermore, the customer service left much to be desired. The staff appeared disinterested and inattentive throughout my visit. It wasn't easy to get their attention and receive assistance when needed. The lack of warmth and genuine care from the staff was disappointing and contributed to an overall hostile dining atmosphere.
While it is essential to acknowledge that taste is subjective, I found the food at Indian Grill to be average at best. The flavors lacked the authenticity and vibrancy I had expected from Indian cuisine. This, coupled with the abovementioned drawbacks, made the overall dining experience less enjoyable.
In conclusion, based on my visit to Indian Grill in Pensacola, I cannot confidently recommend it to others. The high prices, coupled with subpar customer service, make it a less appealing option for those seeking a satisfying and affordable dining experience. I would advise potential customers to explore other Indian restaurants that may offer better value for...
Read moreAs a tourist who visited Pensacola for the first time, I thought of trying out some Indian restaurants in the area and this was the one closest to my hotel. I ordered over the phone for a pickup and had some of the most unhelpful service ever. I asked the employee of this restaurant if they served a specific type of rice, but the employee had no clue what I was talking about and put me on hold without telling me to find out. Upon letting me know that what I wanted wasnât on their menu, I requested a vegetarian fried rice. I made sure to let him know that I wanted it to be vegan since one of my family members doesnât eat eggs. However, once I received my order, the rice was filled with eggs despite my requests. Along with that, the wait time for the preparation of my order was way too long. There were only 2 other tables being served apart from me, yet my order (of only 3 items) took over half an hour to prepare after I had called in 15 mins earlier. Overall, I could have overlook all of my concerns for the restaurant itself if they werenât so ignorant of their customers. A couple walked in around 5 mins after I did, and were told to sit wherever they wished. The waitress went on to get them water but never returned to give it to them. 15 mins after they sat down, the waitress remembered that she had customers and gave them their water and took their order. To top this all of, the owner (or his friends/family members) chose to walk in and out of the kitchen constantly while eating around, disregarding any of the customers around them. To sum it up, I would not recommend that anyone choose to eat here. There is most likely somewhere else where your business will be...
