Very nice hotel and would definitely book another Tru experience.
Let’s start out with the ease of checking in. Folks, get the Hilton app and check in. I got to choose the room I wanted with a digital key. I showed up at check in and I walked right to my room. 10 out of 10 for that. I will say if you get a room on the backside of the property, the views are not that great. A wooded lot with what looks like homeless camping at one point.
The bed was a nice and firm and pillows soft. The highlight and star was the shower and body wash/shampoo and conditioner. I took more than 4 showers because the products smelled so good.
The next highlight was the TV. That picture quality was absolutely stunning. Like 4K quality. You have the ability to log into Netflix, Disney plus etc. The only downside was having to use the remote to type. A QR code to automatically log you in would have been great, like other places. The other downside was the automatic sleep timer that turned the TV off.
Hotel location is in a good for food options. You have a Wendy’s right next door, and across the street, you can walk to Bubba 33, Texas Roadhouse, Jim and Nicks BBQ, Cheddar. Getting to the hotel can be challenging during rush hour traffic.
The only constructive criticism is having the front desk person have better customer service skills. The male seem to be not customer service friendly based on his body language. No greeting when...
Read more3-Star Stay at Tru by Hilton We stayed at Tru by Hilton for two nights. While the property overall looked clean and well-maintained, our experience was mixed. Unfortunately, the towels we were initially given were dirty. When we requested new ones, we were told to pick them up at the front desk, which was inconvenient. Sleeping was a challenge due to the pillows—they were flat like pancakes and had an unpleasant smell, likely from the feathers inside. On top of that, the persistent beeping from the smoke detector was quite annoying throughout the night. That said, the hotel offers a decent price, a good breakfast, plenty towel hooks, and clean facilities, so I would still recommend it if you’re looking for a budget-friendly option. Just be prepared to bring your own towels or ask early for replacements and maybe pack...
Read moreVery nice staff. However this is a pet hotel and it stinks. As much as I love dogs I don’t want to smell them while sleeping. The bedding smelled like animals. Front desk didn’t have any form of air fresheners to provide. The mini fridge in the room was not cold. Found a roach crawling in the bathroom at night, the floor was dirty as in the construction dust I’m guessing, they do not offer comp water for members like other Hilton locations which was a shock so we had to leave to go get bottled water at a reasonable price. Our group would not stay here again. As a recommendation I’d say try to designate pet rooms/floors and try to keep some rooms as no pets. The occupants above us were extremely noisy. We were very uncomfortable. Location is prime but...
