You are sitting in a white room, with white noise playing, you are at a white table with a paper plate, you are eating white bread with mayo…
No this is not Twilight Zone show, this is Pedros Tacos & Tequila Bar. If black pepper is spicy this is your Spanish cuisine del dia!
The meal started off with chips and salsa, well kind of. If by salsa you mean it is red made with tomatoes and meant to be eaten with chips. This stuff was bland, pretty much tomato juice with pulp mmmmm. Cilantro, yes please … NO, some other herbs and spice, yes please … NO. It’s pretty bad when the chip has more depth than the sauce.
Ordered Trio Fajitas… mmm juicy steak, chicken, shrimp, onions and peppers. ~21.00 USD. This is going to be good right … NO. First off save your money this is pure profit to the restaurant and an abuse to your wallet. You fighting the heavy weight of the world is a fairer match. Three (3) yes three little strips of steak, chicken, and four (4) little shrimp. There was not even 8oz of meat on the plate total. Ask the manager and was confirmed served as intended.
Dry does not begin to describe the meat, I think the Sahara Desert has more moisture in it than this meal. The shrimp, well I bet I could beat a high bounce ball in height, they were rubbery and over cooked.
Flavor town was no were to be found not one bit of it tasted seasoned, if your idea of fajitas is some meat on a piece of bread with a tiny bit of peppers you hit the mother lode here.
I asked for corn tortillas to go with this meal, huge mistake one was stuck to the tin foil, not sure how you do that beyond heating it till it fused. High marks on that culinary disaster a true feat for sure. The rest just fell apart and tasted horrible. The flour not much better as a replacement, up side it wasn’t fused to the tin foil. Wasn’t warm either so bonus points there. Cold bread and tepid meat, yummy took them about 5 minutes to replace the wraps for the meal.
Never got a drink refill, so nothing to wash this disaster of a meal down with.
Upside they were quick with the bill this was the only thing I was pleased on, because never in my life have, I wanted out of a place so badly.
The food here is atrocious, bland, over cooked and an extremely poor value for your money. Oddly the place was packed, but I didn’t really see any Hispanic/Latino people there. This should of be my biggest red...
Read moreWe had a very big group their last night. We arrived early so went to the bar. Where we waited and waited before ever being acknowledged. One Bar tender working the tables in that area the bar plus making drinks for the entire Restaurant. Finally got our order put in and waited yet another long time to get our drinks. Again waited to pay. Over 20 minutes to get 1 beer and one frozen drink from the machine. When we finally had food orders taken things seemed to be going well! However, when food started coming out kitchen staff came out to help deliver the food chaos ensued. The poor waitress did her best to direct plates to the correct person. Kitchen staff couldn’t speak English!!! I ordered beef taco salad and much to my surprise my beef on top was full potatoes and had 2 bay leaves in it. Which told me to taste without adding anything to cover the flavor. We have what taste like beef stew added to the meat. What a shock!!! At least it wasn’t canned hot dog chili. Knowing how busy and how long it took to get served? I ate my food and drank my margarita’s in stride. And I knew I was on my own. The waitress was not gonna get back around to talk too. The Restaurant knew this group was coming weeks in advance. Our group of 36 is very patient drink and visit. But to not have enough hamburger meat cooking was crazy!. You added canned food as a filler. The staff were all very nice helpful and friendly. You would have thought the Manager would have popped in near the end to check on everyone? Since our group made the reservations they are told this group likes social drinking. As well are good eaters/orderer as well tip generously. You would think they would have had extra workers in all area’s to keep up with a group this size. Disappointed in my first experience with Pedro’s!!! But our...
Read moreI called in order for pick up. As I walked through the door I looked around because I didn't see anyone that work there, Except there was a guy standing there looking down on his cell phone after about a minute he asked could he help me. I literally replied I didn't think you worked here because you look like you were chilling. I told him I was here for a pick up and he pointed to the bar, As he kept looking at his cell phone. The bartender was absolutely amazing and made my bad greeting almost on forgettable. The restaurant's décor is absolutely beautiful and it was very nice and clean. I ordered two A la Cart items, ca one with chicken and 1 with beef. The badge tabells are fresh and you can tell the guacamole is made daily. However the beef taste like a cheap paste. It totally killed the taste of everything else. Where's the beef?!? I feel cheated by the cheap meat that taste life it came out a can. The taco meat reminds me of what I might find in a MRE meal. The tea was very fresh and was also refreshing however I ordered sweet tea and felt that with all the ice it needed more sugar. In my opinion if you're really hungry and don't care about the taste of your food and just want a quick bite this would be the stop. Although they offer great drink specials so does every other Mexican restaurant in this city. The price of the Mills are way too expensive to be serving such a low grade of meat. I'm glad I bought the small...
