Five stars for an incredible meal and an even better owner! The only challenge you’ll have at House of Pho is deciding what to order. Fear not! I got one of each item so you don’t have to… but you totally should. I started with the egg rolls and they were unlike anything I’ve ever had before. Light and crispy on the outside, savory meat and veggies on the inside with a silky chili sauce for dipping. Now… There’s a reason this place is called “House of Pho”. Minh has dedicated years to perfecting his broth and he nailed it. It’s a perfect balance of rich flavors that doesn’t compete with the various add-ins (I got the combo). The homemade beef balls and egg were exceptionally good. It came as no surprise that the vermicelli bowl was also delicious - perfectly cooked pork and veggies atop a bowl of noodles. I added hoisin but it would have been delicious without. Finally, the banh mi…. Minh has fine tuned his bread recipe, yielding the perfect roll that has a crispy golden crust and light, pillowy inside. Then, he topped it with meat and veggies to create the best banh mi I’ve ever had. I literally said “oh mah gohhhh” immediately after taking my first bite, mouth still full. Hey, I never claimed to be a classy eater. Friendly, attentive staff and a clean dining room round out this casual spot. I can’t wait to go back to House of Pho and wish Minh and his team a very successful future!

With so many other Pho restaurants nearby you have to really be good and stand out. This place definitely does. It might be a little hidden in the back of the strip mall but it's worth driving back there. The pork egg rolls were very crunchy and tasty. My wife usually doesn't like anything with mushrooms but this was so well done with everything else that she didn't even taste it. The grilled pork banh mi that my son ordered was gone before we even had a chance to ask him how it was. The spicy beef noodles lived up to their name, the meat was tender and the broth was so full of flavor that you easily look past the heat and you want more. Other pho places I have a hard time finishing the entire bowl because after the noodles and meat are gone the broth is kind of bland. Not here, after I finished it all I couldn't stop sipping the broth until it was almost all gone. The staff was very friendly and the owner was very attentive to everything. He came out and introduced himself, told us about everything we had ordered and you could tell he was passionate about it. Overall a very great experience and I can see this being our new go to Pho place when we make the drive to this side of town.

This was our fourth time visiting House of Pho since opening and it was as great as ever. We’ve tried something new from the menu on each visit, each dish being as delicious and well presented as the last. Today we had the combination pho and pork chop with broken rice. Hands down the most authentic pho in Pensacola, delivering a savory (not sweet) broth, delicious noodles, and perfectly portioned meats and vegetables. The pork chop and broken rice dish is a new item (new menu items slowly being added since opening). I took the first bite of the pork chop and offered to my wife to try because it was extremely tasty - which she then decided she wanted my dish and gave me her pho! We shared both dishes but have to say great job to the owners and chef for bringing real authentic grilled pork to Pensacola! Wife says this is exactly how they season in Saigon and reminds her of home. Absolutely delicious. Owner is very polite and has some exciting new dishes coming soon we can’t wait to try! 5/5 - highly recommend

This was the 2nd time that I’ve been here and both times were not a great experience. I probably will not be back. I ordered take out both times, with the first time being my first experience with ordering pho at all. The lady at the counter was a bit rude in explaining what the items were and helping in ordering. She tried to overcharge us on the order with things that we didn’t want and overcharged by about $15-20 until we asked for a breakdown in price. That was the first time.

Fast forward to yesterday when I went in to give it a second try, I was actually greeted by a young guy who was very welcoming and pleasant but he was pushed aside by the same woman who I encountered the first time and she was again VERY rude. I was trying to explain what I wanted and she insisted that what I was explaining wasn’t a menu item, when I had gotten it just month before. I was on the phone with my wife trying to get her order for her so I was a bit distracted but the lady was still VERY rude. EVERY time I said anything out of my mouth to order she would respond with “anything else, anything else?” Before I could even finish ordering as if I was taking too long to order or as if I was irritating her. EXTREMELY rude. She overcharged me AGAIN on simple things and because I was feeling rushed as well as a bit distracted I didn’t realize that she’d overcharged me as I’d asked for A PORKCHOP and she had charged me for a pork chop MEAL. I didn’t realize it until I’d gotten in the car and looked at the plate itself. I was wondering why the cost was so much but in the midst of the frustration as well as distraction I didn’t catch it at the moment.

I didn’t even want to dispute it because I felt that I would possibly just take it too far as I’d already gotten so upset so I left it as it was. However, I know now that I will not go back and if I do and see the same lady I will pay very close attention or just not deal with her at all as I know she is rude and will most definitely overcharge if you let her. NOT a good experience and I’d advise to keep on alert if the same woman is at the counter. We also did not get enough noodles for our pho considering we upgraded to the large sizes. The amount of noodles for it seemed extremely small for a large order and were tough to break up in the broth this time. I don’t know.. I may not be back. And if so I may just do a mobile order next time...

I placed an online order around 7:15 PM, well before the restaurant’s listed closing time of 8 PM. The order was accepted and charged to my card. However, when I arrived to pick up my food, the location was already closed.

I called the number listed, and after some initial confusion, the person on the phone told me to come to the door in five minutes, and my order would be ready. I live only 3 minutes away, but when I got home, the food was already cold. Even worse, they had cracked a raw egg into the broth, which didn’t cook at all due to the low temperature, so I had to transfer everything to a pot and cook it myself.

Additionally, the bean sprouts included were brown and had a strong, off-putting odor, making them completely inedible. I ended up spending nearly $40 for takeout that I had to cook and clean up after, which defeats the whole point of ordering out.

I called the restaurant to explain the situation, and I was told someone would speak with the kitchen—then the call ended with no further apology, resolution, or offer to make it right.

I'm incredibly disappointed, especially after seeing such great reviews. This experience fell far short of what I expected and certainly what I paid for.

"Updated": The owner contacted me to make things right, and I will give them another shot! I...
