Summary: Long wait, found used napkin in my food, waitress was very rude and used explicit language to talk about our party.
I’m trying to make this very neutral, but here are the facts 1.) Was told our party of 8 would have a 40 minute wait but they got us back in less than 20 mins- a positive! 2.) When we got back, our table had a weird metallic smell (like old coins). 3.) Two of the seats were covered in maple syrup and had to be wiped down before those two guests could actually sit down. 4.) It took about 15 minutes to get our drinks out (we all only ordered water). 5.) From the time we ordered to the time we got our food it was about 50 mins. 6.) Several wait staff actually came by and asked how the food was/ if we wanted a check BEFORE any of our food ever came out. 7.) Tried to inform the waitress about the problem to which she replied “I don’t know what’s going on.” 8.) When I finally got my pancakes they were pretty yummy, but I soon realized there was some paper in the pancakes. Yes, literally IN the pancake. I picked up the bottom pancake and to my surprise there was a used napkin on the bottom of my pancake stack. Tried to inform the waitress but eventually asked for a manager. I told her about the napkin and showed it to her in the food. They remade the order (to-go) and didn’t charge me for my meal. It took them about 25 more minutes before the to-go order was completed. i actually filed a complaint with the health department about this detail. 9.) My dad asked for his pancakes about five times before he finally just asked for them to go as well. 10.) Other than my dad’s missing pancakes, three of the orders were missing some component. One was missing the sausage gravy, and the two other meals were missing salsa. 11.) When our waitress, Maddie, took our cards back to pay I overheard heard her telling another waitress. “This table has been giving me so many problems” and “They just keep on b**ing about everything.” Then she asked the other waitress to bring our cards back and handle the checks because she didn’t want to come back to our table. 12.) Saw at least two parties get up and leave before getting their food due to the wait. 13.) The inside is pretty small (about 1/2 the size of...
Read moreHostess was friendly amd seated us promptly, however it all went downhill from there. It took 10 minutes before we were acknowledged by our server Devon. She was personable but it was her first day. All other servers walked by several times without even looking our way. I noticed that they did that to folks the whole time of our visit. It was like, "you're not my customer, I don't see you". If it was her first day, you'd think a senior server or supervisor would be checking her area, but she was ignored. Ordered iced tea and Sprite for drinks. The tea was horrible; not sweet and basically warm and no ice. Told Devon; she said they were out of sugar, except for sugar packets and they were trying to sweeten it with those. That does not work. I often wonder if there's real sugar in those packets to begin with. Food took a LONG time to come out. She eventually said "It's in the window". Well, yes, it was, and apparently for quite some time! Hamburger was mediocre. The sirloin tips were just lukewarm, the mashed potatoes were already forming a crust in top and it was the WORST dish of corn I've ever had given to me. The corn was so dried up it was shriveling! No moisture in that bowl. They apparently drain it VERY well, then heat it up and let it sit in a pan staying warm until service, then if your server lets your food sit in the window, well, expect dried up food! This is a management issue; that he and his cooks can't keep food flowing out to customers; that their food is practically cold and dried up. It was 1:10 when we finally got our drinks and order in and between 2 :15 and 2:30 when we left. Our food came to our table at 1:50 pm. There were hardly any customers during this time! What was everyone doing? It was a hamburger with onion rings for the spouse and sirloin tips with mashed potatoes and corn for me. The hamburger and rings take less than 10 minutes to make, the tips about the same because potatoes and corn are already made, so what is the deal with this place? It is not going to stay open long at this rate and based on all the other bad reviews. I've been in food service before and can say it all goes back to supervisors and managers as to training and quality of food. We will...
Read moreWe came in for brunch—my girlfriend and our two kids—and were immediately put off by how dirty the restaurant was. The table we were seated at was sticky, and it took an unreasonably long time just to get our drinks. Once they arrived, it was obvious there wouldn't be any refills.
We ordered our food, and honestly, it was the worst and most overpriced breakfast I’ve ever had. The bacon was so burnt it was inedible, the hash browns were old, cold, and rubbery, and they got the eggs wrong—then substituted them with unpleasant nasty liquid eggs. My girlfriend never even received the hash browns she ordered, and based on mine, she chose not to have them and told the waitress to forget it.
When we voiced our concerns, the staff offered to "help out with the bill" and asked if we wanted drinks to go. With more than half the meal either incorrect or terrible, you'd expect the problematic dishes to be comped—but they only removed the hash browns. We paid nearly $60 for a subpar experience, and of course, no to-go drinks ever came.
Service was inattentive, and the staff seemed more interested in chatting in the hall than taking care of customers. No refills, no sincere apologies, no solutions. I had to walk out before expressing how frustrated I was—my girlfriend politely walked to the waitress in the hall after she left us sitting there and paid, and we left.
To top it off, the dining room was dirty, the lights were flickering (which almost caused our child to have a seizure), and the whole environment felt neglected. If you’re looking for breakfast, I strongly recommend going somewhere else.
IHOP, do better. Clean the place, train your staff, and fix the lights before someone gets hurt—or the health...
