I was so disappointed in my 1st trip to Irmas Tacos. We REALLY were excited to try them. Starting out, it's VERY confusing their location. They are storefront#100 but the numbering on the buildings goes the low 100's, then theres 101 then to a the next building over which starts at 120. Needless to say Irmas location is sandwiched in between two completely unsequenced storefront numbers, so it's very confusing. I found it and I ordered lunch for our only paid lunch break which is on fridays where we get to actually sit down and relax for the hour, my ordering was simple and the tap to pay made it easy. I even gave them a $7 tip for our 3 takeout meal lunches. Food was ready in abt 10mins. Got all the way back to my truck (it was a bit of a walk considering I parked near storefront #101 and they are halfway inbetween the 2 building) and started to pull out and just happened to look through the bags just to make sure we had everything, and sure enough they shorted us a taco. Now I know it's just a taco but it's a seven dollar taco and this is our lunch break and the guys are hungry and Im already late. They give me my missing taco and i admit i was frustrated and I said ugh, the guys were going to be upset and the employee just said " Hey they can't be mad, you've got tacos!". SMH, at least acknowledge that your screwing with someone's lunch break and YOU messed up. I mean come on. Got back to give guys their food and NO UTENSILS!!!! FOR A TAKE OUT!!??????!!!! We ended up finding some plastic knives so thats how we ate our food. Needless to say their $7 dollar tip was far from earned and they should've gave me the $7 missing taco for free if they really wanted to consider my perdiciment. I know something so simple as lunch shouldn't affect someone's day, but this really has put a whole mood on the rest of the day without any real consideration from them at all as to THEIR oversight mistakes, costing US way to much more than it was worth. The food wasnt even worth all the trouble epically the frustration of eating it...

Tried twice. Higher prices (than fast casual places) and the food is not impressive. You’d expect gourmet style tacos at the prices, but they essentially place seasoned meat on a tortilla - and the meat quality isn’t great. You pay for the decor and attempt at making the place trendy, but unfortunately that doesn’t make up for the lack in culinary creativity and skill. I really wanted to like it, but with Fire Tacos down the street, it’s unlikely that I will ever return.

To Tommy Villani (as per reply): I believe your job is to satisfy part of a market that exists and may be happy with the food you serve - you have other great reviews, and congrats for that. As a Google Local Guide, my purpose is to give my honest opinion to the public on my personal experiences. Irma Tacos has good appeal; picture wall, huge tequila menu, modern visual... which made me expect more from the dishes - based on many experiences frequenting taco places similar in appeal (and price). None of this is meant to "disparage" your business, but instead, to guide others - who may have a similar taste and preference to mine - as what to expect. I wish you guys the best - I know you will find many people to continue...

This place is watered down mexican food. You could also say americanized mexican food. The house margarita I ordered had way too much margarita mix and not fresh at all. I actually tried to pour it into a different glass and add soda water to it to make it less sweet. It was awful. Cocktails we're in tall glasses, filled with ice... I question wherever the liquor is watered down. The queso tasted like watered down tostinos queso. Which would I would rather have had...Tostinis queso the jar. The queso fundido said it would have onions and peppers in it. It did not. It was basically the queso with some cheese added it to it with some cilantro and chorizo, which might have been beef- no flavor. Tacos were nothing special... the meat all tasted the same, the sauce was different, but not original... sauces are bottled from familiar brands. The"housemade" salsa I'm fairly sure is bottled.. tastes like tomatoes. Not good. Additionally I let our server know we didn't like the queso (we originally got queso, seperate from fundido) and she didn't take it off the bill. We spent 80 dollars. Waste of money. We won't be back. 10/10...

This review is for the celiacs (and gluten intolerant). Was Irma's food delicious? Yes. Did they manage to not gluten me? Yes. Were they weird about it? Unfortunately yes. I called about whether they could accommodate my celiac, and the manager made me feel pretty good about it. When my dad called to place an order, things were more complicated than I had been lead to believe, but we placed the order anyway. When we went to pick it up, I said to the hostess "we are the scary gluten free order haha", to which she responded with an "oh" and a scowl. I thought maybe she was just a serious person, but some people (presumably friends of hers) showed up, and she was laughing with them. When the order was ready, the young lady who gave it to us acted weirdly dismissive when we asked for utensils (we are staying in a hotel). Other than the bartender, who was awesome, my dad and I felt like the staff resented us, which was super odd. The food was great, but I don't really want to go back.

I'll give Irma's 5 stars on concept and 4 stars on flavor. Really creative taco offerings such as fried gator, smash burger, and Nashville hot chicken in addition to traditional taco samplings. I ordered the carne asada & al pastor and my wife ordered the chicken taquitos. The taquitos were good but slightly bland. The mole(?) on the carne asada was a bit strong. The al pastor was outstanding. The chips were a little sweet. Overall I'd definitely go again but we'll likely go back for their creative taco offerings rather than traditional tacos (except the al pastor, delicious).
