A True Sports Bar With Great Food A friend recently told me about this place so we gave it a try for lunch today. I’m sure I’ve never seen more TV’s in any bar, they are everywhere. The menu has everything you would expect at a sports bar – appetizers, sandwiches, salads, burgers, wraps, seafood, pizza, wings and more. My wife chose the Corned Beef Reuben ($13.99) which includes a side of either french fries, sweet potato fries, pasta salad or coleslaw. She picked the sweet potato fries. I went with the Antipasto Salad ($13.99). Iced tea ($3.00) and Yuengling draft ($4.00) provided hydration. Our meals came out quickly and both were impressive. The Reuben was loaded with tender and tasty sliced corned beef along with the required thousand island dressing, sauerkraut and swiss cheese between slices of toasted rye bread. The sweet potato fries were double fried with a crunchy exterior and pillowy center. Accompanying the fries was a cup of cinnamon butter for dipping the fries. Can you say YUMMO!? My Antipasto Salad was as large as the picture shows. Sliced ham, salami, capicola and pepperoni along with shredded mozzarella cheese sit atop a bed of greens, which you cannot see. Surrounding this meat mound are sections of sliced cucumber, black olive rings, mushrooms, tomatoes, a hard boiled egg, a pepperoncini and 4 pieces of garlic bread. I chose an italian dressing instead of the standard oil and vinegar. I have had many salads and this one may have been the best one I’ve had. I could taste each of the meats and all the veggies were crisp and fresh. The italian dressing was light and flavorful. The garlic bread was crunchy, buttery and garlicky. Perfect. We each brought home half of our meals which we had for dinner this evening. I did hear that they do have a Happy Hour and some meal specials which I will look into. Give this...
Read moreI love Jerseys and I usually never have a bad experience. This last time wasn't necessarily bad but was not the best. I came in and sat at the Bar. I ordered 10 wings and to my surprise they were in front of me within 45 seconds. I knew something was gonna be wrong with this order. Sure enough I took one bite and they were so overcooked and dry. I asked the Bartender if I could please have them cooked fresh to order. She asked me what was wrong and I said, "it only took 45 seconds for these to hit my table and the wings were overcooked and dry and I can tell they had already been cooked and recooked when I ordered them." She said, "they told me they already had these dropped in the fryer" and I again just asked for them to be recooked" and she had no problem putting the knew order in. My next and only other issue are the cooks. Jerseys has an open kitchen which means you can view inside the kitchen. I saw two cooks and one prep guy. One cook had one glove on, One cook had zero gloves on and prep guy had zero gloves on. The cooks were touching ready-to-eat food. The short skinny cook kept touching his face and clothing while preparing ready-to-eat orders. As a cook for over 10 years this is unacceptable. If I come in next time and see food being habdled this way again then when I come next time then next time will be...
Read moreI have been to Jersey's many times over the last few years and experience has deteriorated each time. The best current draws for this establishment are the number of high-def TVs and the attractiveness/attentiveness of the servers.
The last two times I have ate from here (1 dine-in and 1 order through DoorDash), my food has been absolutely burnt. The first was a white pizza ordered through DoorDash which was inedible and completely burnt. The entire pizza and all the cheese was burnt and disgusting and I had to get a refund from DoorDash because I threw the pizza away due to the poor quality of food.
Today, I dined in to watch a football game. The food I ordered while sitting was good enough to not elicit a complaint. However, I ordered potato skins to go and apparently made the mistake of not checking the order before I left. When I got home, once again, the potato skins were burnt to a crisp. The potato casings were black and the cheese and bacon were dark brown from over-cooking. These instances I have mentioned should be UNACCEPTABLE from a food-service quality point.
The atmosphere is alright and the TV options are good, but as a RESTAURANT, the food I have been recently served should be absolutely unacceptable to be plated or served to anyone. I will no longer patronize this...
