Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Florida

My last visit to the Bloomingdale Jersey Mike's was a very frustrating and less than satisfying experience. Customer service must not be of importance to this location. I placed my order for a Kahuna cheesesteak with no peppers. The young man apparently could not hear me and TOLD me to speak up. What happened to apologizing for not being able to hear a customer and politely asking them to repeat themselves or to please speak up, especially in our current mask wearing environment? I complied and repeated my order, adding volume my request. The young man then asked if I still wanted jalepenos, to which I replied; yes. Apparently active listening is no longer an important part of providing service. Not only was the young man initially rude, but incompetent as well, because what was prepared was a sandwich with peppers and without jalapeno peppers. I initially decided to just ignore what I thought to be a rude welcome, but if you were not going to actually listen to me, what...

This was my first visit to any Jersey Mike’s subs. I’m not sure if it will be my last. While the fresh cut meats and cheeses were very nice, the vegetables were all past their peak freshness (the lettuce was actually brown) and the staff definitely left something to be desired.. being new to the ordering system, when the gentleman at the end asked if I got a regular roast beef, I said yes when I had in fact gotten a mini. His female coworker corrected the mistake, but then his male coworker said under his breath you should’ve just made her pay for it.. I appreciated her honesty, but would definitely caution any future customers to make sure they know exactly what they ordered and to double check the receipt. I’m leaving with a sour taste in my mouth but I’m hopeful that other locations might offer better...

I came in a few months back and the young ladies that were helping didn't seem too interested in customer services. There demeanor was uninviting and at the end of making my sandwich while they were trying to wrap the bread the top bread fell on the floor still in some of the wrapper and instead of getting a new top bread they just kept making it and hoped I didn't see. Not really what I have experienced in the past with Jersey Mikes. Gave 3 stars because I did like the sandwich.
