eyewear candy optical rx — Local services in Delray Beach

One year ago I went to Delray eye optical to have my son fitted for contact lenses and had a wonderful experience.I was about to make another appointment a year later, when I received a phone call from a man named Randy, stating that Delray eye optical was sold and the new place was called Eyewear Candy and he was the new proprietor. So I decided to give this place a chance. The eye exam went fine and I had ordered yearly supply of contacts from them. Now when you order a yearly supply of contacts you’re eligible to get a rebate up to $250. We do it each time I order contacts for my son and then we usually apply for rebate shortly after. To get a rebate all you need is a receipt from the eye store that you had an exam and a proof of payment for yearly supply of contacts. Never had a problem applying for rebate until I started dealing with EYEEWEAR CANDY!!! Did not get a receipt from them, took forever, literally months and months of emails and visits to the store until they provided me with information needed. Finally after trying to input information for rebate I find out that they’re not even registered with Acuvue!!! The name of their business is nowhere to be found on the Acuvue site! Tried calling the owner, but he would not return my calls:(( Also I found out that they were dishonest with me and Delray optical was never sold or closed!!! They’re in business and doing very well. As a matter of fact the owner Sammy will be kind enough to help me finally get my rebate!!! definitely would not recommend Eyewear candy...

I have been to Eyewear Candy twice. The first time it was to get prescription sunglasses. I met Randy when I was there and he was a pleasure to work with. Not only was his fees very reasonable - he also spent time informing and educating me about the process. A few months later I returned to have my regular eyeglasses repaired. It seemed like they were unrepairable... but Randy worked his magic and did an outstanding job! He's personable, professional, knowledgeable and I can say that in my experience he has been 5 Star all the way!

This is being updated 2 years later and I want to share that IMO Eyewear Candy continues to be a 5 star optical store. My Rx changed over the past 2 years and needed special attention. I has some eye surgery and could barely see with my glasses on but didn't need them for distance but after decades of having glasses I felt naked without them, and I do need them for reading. Randy has this strange machine that reads my perscription from a distance. When I got my glasses I could read up close and distance was slightly better but a can see distance perfectly well without them. My wife however did not ike the frames I picked even though I thought they were cool. So she came with me and picked out some where the frame did not go all around the lense. They only charged me a small difference in the frame cost made new lenses and took back the ones I wore for 2 weeks. Can't help...
